I've heard it's going to be released on Halloween and it's got a zombie commentary on it!

In my meagre original art collection I'm the proud owner of both a Hicklenton page (a well meaty Dredd with some Elvis impersonators) and a Siku (a lovely double page spread of Dredd breaking his after being blown off an African Hover bike) and both are superb! I hope to get my collection posted up on the site next week.

I too loved Hicklenton's absolutely crackers style and just wish he wasn't returning on bloody Satanus!

A fun little movie is on this strange site which is more than a little reminiscent of a couple of rather dodgy female 2000ad characters. Take a look...

Nah, naff line of the week (again by the Wagner droid, yikes!) was by Chop after Calista says he like a god when he emerged from Porcupine Alley.

His very uncool retort "Gosh!"

"blobs, uglies, fatties, walter, death, chopper, judge child, and fishpaste "

Wow, just re-looked at that page and it's great! Angel Gang, sovs, Kleggs, Anderson and Orlok in there too. What an amazing eye for detail Mr D'Israeli has! Thanks for srawing my attention to it Test!

Cor, I'm the first! I'm off work with flu and I have to say, Prog 1390 was like a hot toddy, a hot lemon and a big snotty blow all at once (they're all meant to be good things). Here we go...

Cover - Dicussed in another thread but I have to agree it's not the God-like Flint's best, ho hum.

Droid Life - A classic, I laughed out loud.

Dredd - Luverly, vibrant art from D'Israeli and a nice little script from Ian Edginton. I particularly liked the Tek judge's explanation of Sewell's attempted escape only for him to be hiding under the floor! And at last, a story with Blobs in it! I always wanted to see some milling about in the background as Blobbing was such a huge, drastic and downright silly fashion statement, then we never saw anymore - great to see 'em back!

Savage - Enjoying this I suppose. Noddy's hypocracy was particulalry funny and the end was cool...

AHAB - I REALLY like this. The fantastic first panel gave me flashbacks to the winning pitch from Dreddcon 1 and made me feel a little dirty! I thought the actions of Spence were particularly silly though with the end of this eisode being no big suprise. It was brill to see that little spider thingy back. I loved following that in the first episode!

Low Life - Some good stuff and some not so good stuff from Mr Flint on this episode. The story is pretty twisty though and enough to keep you guessing.

Chopper - I love Chopper but am not enjoying this story as much as others on the board (no pun intended!) I don't see the point of dragging Chopper all the way from the Radback for this, especially as I reckon that woman is taking the piss. Ace Dredd pic on page 2 though.

Right, back to bed!

I LOVED EE1 & 2 but abosolutely hated EE3 (I'm still battling my way to the end of it, two months on, I'm stuck in the circus at the moment which is so lame it's fucking unbelievable, how did I ever like this as a child?)

I've read 2000ad since prog 1 but have no time for nostagic shite like this (as opposed to many on this board.) Give me a Chopper special or a bloodline collection any day, at least I know I'm re-reading QUALITY. Ant Wars -  pah (nice cover though...)!

Other than the crap singing bits (singing is ALWAYS crap in Dredd megaepics) and Dennis Mennis, I absolutely love Ennis' Judgement Day.

When he wants to, Ennis can write lovely Dredd dialogue and this tale was chock full of it. Add the Alpha, Dredd, Sadu grudge match to the mix, billions of zombies, burning the wall, good Doherty art (he seems to a LOT worse now), amazing Ezquerra stuff and THAT last page and you're onto a winner. Only rivalled by Necropolis and The Pit in my opinion and it certainly wipes the floor with those early, flawed and very camp Dredd epics.

I am Pete Wells and I liked Judgement Day!

I know I mentioned Joe earlier, but I have to give an honourable mention to Morrigun. Her entrance as barmaid cum lethal bouncer was fantastic and the episode where she took on that huge tree eating robot ranks as some of the most realisitc, stunning Kev Walker art ever!

Yay!

Joe Pinapples is too cool not to win! Just look at Bisley's starscan for prog 571 or indeed, the pic below...http://www.2000adonline.com/images/wallpaper/joepineapples_640.jpg">

Yeah, I'd like to see a "Dredd - The Epics" approach to a Dredd FPS. I have to say at this point that I REALLY enjoyed Dredd vs. Death though. Yes, the Asura engine promised much and didn't really deliver (it looked terribly dated in comparison to many first person games of its time) but the storyline was great with some wonderful trademark Dredd humour and in jokes just for us geeks.

So, I'd love to see a game with huge levels depicting the Epics comprising of loads of sublevels where you played out the key moments of these stories. Imagine the first couple of levels battling household robots in the robot wars, some Cursed Earth levels leading you to MC2, knacking fellow judges in Cal based missions, Blockmania, Orlock, Sovs, skysurfers, Judda, Necropolis, Sabbat. The whole history. Yeah it take yonks but I can dream can't I?

Cover - Not MacNeil's best (you'll never beat his Mechanismo GN cover!) but better than some. I like the way Chopper has aged on it.

Dredd - So-so script, some great art by Roach (but why does the blind lady wear eye covers in bed?). Lovely pic of Dredd in panel 3 on the last page - reminds me of Bolland.

Savage - 'Uncle Joe', 'Scream scream', 'Dark Matter', Mills' crimes just keep on mounting up...

AHAB - Nice enough I suppose, I too enjoyed the 'what really happened' vs. AHABs version bits.

Low Life - Flint can do no wrong. I love all the cool swirly bits, also loved the other Judge's shades...

Chopper - Prog highlight. Looking forward to seeing how this tory develops. First story since 'My Name is Death' to do a Dredd supporting character justice.

Overall 7/10

Pete.
