Not really my cup of tea, I've never been into computer games, but my friend Jonnie who runs Monkey's Emporium in Camden Market supplied a lot of the retro toys and games used in the film.

I've really been enjoying all the comments about how Doctor Who has been taken over by 'feminists', 'liberals' and 'the PC brigade'.

I must have missed that season where he travelled through time and space building walls to keep immigrants out.

Mirror in the Bathroom by The Beat. To my mind, it still sounds that they're using a racist epithet starting with N. As in 'N in the bathroom, please talk free'

Out of curiosity, is the Dredd Collection edition of The Cursed Earth the edited or unedited version?

Looking forward to it. The whole swipe
Harry Potter being the Antichrist
I felt was Moore being a bit cynical and a little snobbish.

Help! / Guide to Special Editions

Hello all,

Is there a list about of all the special editions of 2000 AD? Stuff like Summer/Winter Specials, End-of-Year Progs, Specials etc. I saw the list on Barney's site but don't know how up to date it is.

That's really interesting.  It shows the maturity which the character has developed over the years.  (It makes me feel better about Dredd too - kind of humanises him.)  He is such a paradoxical character sometimes - so fierce and strict so he seems like someone you wouldn't want to meet and yet he's got a good heart and he's no less strict with himself.  It's this depth that really hooks me into the Dredd universe.

I think the writer's tend to echo Hershey's words from Total War with moments like that. Dredd attempted to hand in his badge when he tried to save Vienna from a bombing instead of being impartial as a Judge should be. Hershey refused and told him it did him good to be Human now and again. Moments like Lopez's badge and relationship with Vienna help to keep him grounded from time to time. They show that, rare as they are for him to display, he does feel emotions like shame, regret and familial loyalty.

I believe there's also The Firm led by the mysterious 'Boss' in The Simping Detective. But they may just be the organisation that runs Sector 13/Angeltown.

Hello everyone,

I'm Rudolph, been a 2000 AD fan for a long time, been hooked since I recieved the first volumes of Rogue Trooper and Sinister Dexter for Christmas in 2006, and thought I'd finally take the plunge into the forum.

I've been a casual reader for years - a casual Prog buyer - with Sinister Dexter as my absolute favourite strip.

So yeah, hello!
