Very hard choice.  For the Raggedy Man, Summer Magic and The Dead Man, Ridgeway.  For Cradlegrave, Bagnell.  And now I'm just daydreaming about them swapping scripts, and I think it would have worked.

I think I know one of the qualifiers here but I can't tell for the life of me how the other slot will go. So if you want your favourite to get through please get your vote in today as I'll count this one up in the morning.

Will Simpson would be the number one on this list by a long way even if the only thing he'd ever drawn for Tharg was that double page of Ayer's Rock getting blown up.

Edmund Bagwell in second. For a really special partnership with John Smith and the sad fact that we'll never see any more.

VOTING CLOSED but lets keep celebrating the incredible talent in this pool.

So I thought pretty early on John Ridgway had walked this one and he was both one of my predictions and one of the votes I'd have gone for. My other prediction was Frank Quitely who has gone on to do incredible things across the pond, but whose work for Tharg started off pretty fully developed and was astonishing. While he did gather votes he didn't make it. Garry Leach hasn't done to much for Tharg but he was also popular. I think if it was vote per page he'd have had more impact but he has some big fans here.

However the second spot went the way of my second vote I'm happy to say and the great Edmund Bagwell joins John into the tourney proper.
