Slightly OTT letters page, I thought. Someone complained! Quick, let's fill an entire page full of support!

I print the letters I receive, Craig. As it happened, a lot of people wrote it in to say they were enjoying RotD, as hard as that is for you to apparently believe.

Irrespective of swearing/nudity/violence, I think some of you are overestimating the robustness of the newsstand in 2016. In the teen magazine sector alone (2000 AD comes under the teen comics category, in which it's the no 1 seller, thank you very much) the last year has seen the closure of Girl Pop, Bliss, Batman the Brave, Zoom, Sleepy Hollow, and DC Super Friends, amongst others. The circulation on Titan's Adventure Time has dropped by a third since it launched a year ago.

Total magazine sales across the board have dropped, year on year. The market isn't what it was three decades ago.

Out of curiosity, do the creators receive any reprint fees for their material being repackaged in these collections?

Listening (with great enjoyment) to a bunch of Thrill-Casts lately, I heard Ma.. er, Tharg refer to SQUAXX and he pronounced it SK-WAX.  To me this has always, always been SK-WOX and it has shaken me to my core to hear TMO refer to it otherwise.  Is there some kind of support group to help me through this?
You are right and Tharg is wrong. Simple as that.

So presumably you pronounce Tharg's home planet as KWOX-ANN?

Why isn't it 'canonical'? Nothing in DoD contradicts what we know happens to Deadworld, and Death himself says towards the end of Boyhood of a Superfiend that, 'We sent out our Judges to every quarter to judge the people - and when they had finished we in turn judged them'. I took that to mean they made further DJs - four to kill an entire planet is a bit of stretch, to be honest - and then dispensed of them when they were no longer needed.

Announcements / Re: 2000 AD Android app - now live!

Good news, humes! The problems that some Android app users were experiencing with their subscriptions not giving them the current issue should all be fixed.

Matt Smith is 2000AD's greatest editor so I believe this collection will be nothing but quality.

I'll make sure to remind everyone of this at every opportunity.

General / Re: ordering the prog from newsagents

2000 AD is distributed to the newsstand by a company called Seymour. Your newsagent should be able to order copies from them by ringing 020-7429-4000. 2000 AD's ISSN number (the International Standard Serial Number that identifies a periodical publication) is: 0262-284X.

Why, thank yew. It's probably my most art house cover line since Prog 1743 quoted a line of dialogue from a Lars Von Trier film.

Who is the Lady in Red on the cover? She's pretty prominent so it is annoying I cannot recognise her

We decided it was probably Slick Dickens.

No, it's Inga, PJ Maybe's android squeeze.

The character every fan was waiting to see!

Millar's most enduring contribution to the franchise.  Like, rilly.

Grant Morrison's, actually. From TPO: 'Janus was a rave-era character, the kind I was meeting, so she felt more relevant to me than Judge Anderson, who had this kind of dated Debbie Harry vibe.'

Ha! And you want to work for a comic you don't actually read anymore? There's commitment for you.
