I have to say I laughed at the bit in the framing story when one of the execs at Battle Action said "Huh, they'll be asking for a bl**dy toy tie-in next!"

I was actually reading Battle Action at the time when it virtually became an "in-house" magazine for the Action Force toys 

I'd  definitely like to see more of Juves Rule OK! and Hellman

But I can't for the life of me work out who the old woman with the hammer is..

If you look carefully at the two SJS Judges leading away a prisoner on the first page of the Dredd story you'll see they are called Diffring and Nesbitt..

I'm assuming they are named after Anton Diffring (Rent-a-Nazi to the British film industry in the 50s, 60s and 70s) and Derren Nesbitt who both appeared in the action film Where Eagles Dare.


A question about Kenton Sternhammer... is his lack of nose a mutation he got from his mother or is it the result of some sort of violent incident?

I spotted DR & Quinch too - they're just behind Nemesis, emerging from the shadows!

I didn't notice Nemesis, probably cos I was so surprised at seeing DR and Quinch

Has Judge Pin appeared in any other Dredd stories or is she a completely new character??

I wonder how long it will be before East Meg 2 starts something in Texas City

I notice that the next episode of the Dredd story is called Where Eagles Dare...

Does that mean that some of the MC-1 Judges with Dredd will turn out to be double agents and that two of the Sov-Judges will look like Anton Diffring and Derren Nesbitt??

Presumably Dredd himself will be travelling down to Texas City in the near future particularly if some elements of of that city's Justice Department kick up a fuss about having a MC-1 Judge as their new CJ

Just seen the last page of this week's Dredd story and I have to say I was wondering what a certain resident of Brit-Cit would have been thinking about all that was going on

Presumably the guy that Hershey and the Texas City Chief Judge were talking to was the Chief Judge of Brit-Cit?

My question about Dredd: [spoiler]WTF's going on with his arms?  [/spoiler]. Enjoying this story, and Joyce Jr makes a great sidekick for Dredd. I'm sure Texas are up to something too, that chief judge is a mite too friendly, but not sure what.

Some sort of power grab definitely... maybe the next mega-epic will be a war between MC-1 and Texas City.  I'm thinking the Brit-Cit Judges who are holding Dredd are a rogue element within Brit-Cit Justice Department who think Mega-City One's era is over and it's a better idea to ally with Texas City.

BTW is it just me who thinks the robot driver of the bus that nearly ran over Joyce looks like Blakey from On The Buses?
