Thought 'screw it' at that price it's worth a punt even if I can only play it for an hour or two a week - and I can save an extra fiver thanks to some clubcard points, so ordered a copy....

....or would have done, were it not for Tesco having the most cretinous, obnoxious checkout I've ever encountered. It can't find my address on its system, and as there's seemingly no option to manually enter an address, its impossible for me to place the order.

Nice one, you fucking chumps.

Wonder how much revenue that harebrained oversight loses them per year?

So Tesco is run by a bunch of morons in the UK too?
I had a run in with one of their stores / managers a few years back, and without boring you with a tl;dr tale suffice to say I've boycotted them ever since. Hate the place.

That's one of my favourite comic stories of all time, it scared the bejaysus out of me as a kid!
I've had the chance to re-read it a few times thanks to Ghastley's great website.

Do you know if anyone has the original art for this Ming?

A few episodes later when the ship encountered suicide-bombing space-Muslims I recall thinking it must be awesome to have a job where they pay you to be drunk.

Yer all kindsa nuts Prof, but in a good way.

I think once you compare it with the ad-heavy American DC/Marvel flimsies for size/content/quality and sheer thrill power, it's worth it, especially now the Sexy Ostriches have gone walkabout, D'Israeli's Ordinary Joe is coming and hopefully Lilly McKenzie makes a return something soon

The pro-Meg argument in a nutshell.

Mine just arrived today.
I'm very happy with the item (my prints are number 50 of 200, and they're great).

As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, the book was excellently packaged- kudos to our friends in Rebellion.
Bodes well for receiving The Complete Zenith without any shipping damage.

you got any money left!

Just enough to secure my first Steve Yeowell page, with The Red Seas pages going for a song on Wake's website.
Will be back for more I think.

like the evil universe episodes

They were great.
The change to the title sequence was inspired.

Cheers Simeon.

And here's a little something for you and our fellow Leigh Gallagher fans; a DOC page featuring Dredd, Beeny & Logan.
Got this from Leigh directly, he's as nice a chap as he is an artist.

With one of my favorite panels in recent times; an awesome Eagle of Justice shoulder pad rendition by Flint, getting drilled through by Tipp-Ex High Ex.

LOVE IT.

As some of ye know, I was looking for a decent Henry Flint page for ages.
Finally picked one up from Wake's online crack den- a very cool page from The Cold Deck, with Dredd getting his ass handed to him by Sarah Palin.

The seller's an idiot

Not to mention the hilarious asking price of $399.

Yeah I completely get that BUT there are any number of reasons why I don't. Many of which seem odd to me every time I think about it BUT they are there and so I'm sticking too it I reckon.

Yer a queer fish Colin, on one hand acknowledging 2000AD as being the greatest comic on the planet, and on the other dismissing the Galaxy's 2nd Greatest Comic over some trivialities.
The price is reasonable for the content and the floppy can be ignored if you wish- it's a damn good comic.
Prioritize maaaaannn  ;)

That Nemesis head is the same one used in the video for the Nemesis song

And also used in an Anderson PSI story in the 90's. News to follow... ;)

PS- Great Mick Austin spread there Skullmo, Joy Hogg never looked better.

I'm not a Meg reader.

There's your problem. Add it to the pull list Colin- its better than some of the stuff on it already i'm sure!
