Yeah, frankly it's not about the money.  Rebellion's almost providing a service for aspiring authors to get published.  That goes strait into your portfolio so you can get a real paying job next time you write.

Why not pull the color out, switch to newsprint and give us big old fat weeklies?

I'm finding more and more the Black & White work in 2000AD is the best stuff anyway.  And cutting out colorists would save time and money on strips.

At any rate, I'm for MORE PAGES! Even if the cost was to go up.  Also I'd be pro-New Magazine.

Is there any reason Rebellion can't just resurect one of the failed titles?  Crisis and Revolver are nice Mag names, and just because their original consepts failed doesn't mean the names have to go dorment forever.

Morrison's probibly just waiting for the right moment.  This year's been pretty busy to fit in another Mega Epic Dante arc.

Since I havn't read the Tzar Wars yet (I'm catching up in the Trades) I'm going to hope it doesn't start until I'm all caught up.

Escape From Monkey Island

The PS2 version may struggle with the joypad interface, but this is still a fun little nod back at the golden age of adventure gaming. The humour is perhaps an acquired taste, but the puzzles are entertaining & offbeat. Well worth a look.

Escape from Monkey Island is a fine Adventure game.  To bad it's a TERRIBLE Monkey Island game.

As for me...I just picked up Metroid Zero Mission and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga for the GBA and I'm having a ball with both.

Lost started out strong, but it really started to drag in the 2nd half of season 1 with all the flashing back, and the plot not moving forward.

I stopped watching around the middle because I missed an episode or two.
I'll probibly nab the box set eventualy, because I did like it enough to want to watch the whole thing.

At any rate, it's no Battlestar Galacitca.

I'm sure the name was changed to prevent name confusion.

Speaking of Satan's Island.... Octobers half over and still no Satan's Island or Eye of the Traitor. At least over on this side of the pond.

I know I ordered them for October, I hope they arn't late.

Thread Bump GO.

Question, I was going over the Episode list of Nikolai Dante: The Courtship of Jena Makarov and noticed this oddity in the episode break down...

The Courtship of Jena Makarov 12 episodes (Progs 1161 to 1172) 65 pages
Script: Robbie Morrison, Artist: Simon Fraser

Then...

Love and War 8 episodes (Progs 1200 to 1207)
Script: Robbie Morrison, Artist: John Burns
Thrill Power: 8.53 (17 votes)
Book Two Of 'Tsar Wars'

Highlight Mine.

They're skipping Book 1 of 'Tsar Wars? Rudinshtein Irregulars is what Book 1 was according to the site.

Is there any logical reason for this? Perhaps a typo?

The spines on the hardbacks are pretty much the same as they have always been. On the paperbacks there is a slight change in that the spines are now black with coloured text.

*Bangs head on the desk*

Nothing bothers me more then a noticeable Tradedress change mid stride through a series.

But then I'm anal about Uniformity.

Not going to stop me from buying them of course, just bugs the heck out of me.

My geeky tendency is I like uniformaity in my trades on my book shelf.  So if I get the Hard Cover, and a new Volume 1 comes out and I don't buy that, then Volume 2 comes out and I do buy that. Suddenly I have a 2nd Volume with no 1st Volume to go with it.  Because the hardcover would be over with my other Titan hardcovers and not in the middle of the Rebellion paperbacks.

I'd have to double dip, or else it'd drive me crazy!!!!

*hulks out*

*destories a city*

*cough*

But we all have are excentracies.

Yeah, but I live in the US, so....

Plus, the way I see it, chances are there won't be a second Titan volume, so if Rebellion desides to do another reprint run to reprint the whole series in paperback, I'll have to double dip for Volume 1.

Whoa, wait, it the Cabs Inc trade an "American" trade or a "Euro" trade?

Because it looks square.

And D.R. & Quinch is getting a paperback?! Curse, now I regret getting the Titan Hardcover.  I guess I'll hold off on getting Nemesis The Warlock...just in case.

It makes sense because it's Alternate History. Instead of going Democratic post Soviet-era, the country goes the other direction due to the influances of the new variable, Marshal Vashkov.

What would you prefer, the Volgs be from some just made up generic evil country?  That's boring.
