War Stories is coming back as an ongoing from Avatar Press (hope it doesn't become a splatter fest but trust Garth to keep the tone of his other WWII work) as an ongoing monthly.

This can only be good news!

Well if I have to stink of shit I hope its good shit! Cos Sin/Dex is really pushing its luck in my house. It just drags on and on and on and you get the idea.

Oh no need to worry as by now any right thinking human being would have given up this ridiculous jig as a bad, overused jape...

Alas for you I'm a blinked committed evangelist for the series so

I'm am dancin'
Oh yes I'm dancin'
You might like Satan
Doesn't stop you being smelly
For I am dancin'
Though you can't see me
And I ain't stoppin'
Til you agree* me

*with - I put it here as it spoiled the flow above in its rightful place.

Colin YNWA: any chance of some solidarity and going easy with the smelly dance on a fellow Colin?

Man I feel the pain of being a fellow Colin. Its not an easy name to go through life with. If you are of a certain age, aside from it being a bit of a rubbish name in general you also had to put up with the telly show 'Colin's Sandwich' and the cartoon character 'Clumsy Clumsy Colin' who was not only clumsy but also advertised some terrible crisp based snacks.

So yeah I feel your pain.

However there can be NO MERCY

Your name is Colin
But I'm still dancin'
There is no mercy
Even for Colin
You can't see me
but Colin's dancing
and you are smelly
Smelly smelly Colin

Sinister Dexter: Hmm.. I don't want to invoke Colin's Sin-Dex appreciation dance again.. but I'm not feeling it. So many funts. So many many funts. I feel like I spend too much of my time reading this strip when I could be reading something so much more fulfilling. Artwork is pretty cool but I've never been interested in the characters and if it was released as it's own floppy there is no chance I would be buying/reading it.

I know we have a thread for comics you are most excited about in 2014 and I know we have one already for 2015 BUT fuck that I'm so excited about this that a shared thread can't contain the fluidly delight I'm gushing right now. So rather than get those threads all sticky this get its own thread.

This better come out at a decent price I REALLY want this!

You can't see this but I'm dancing a magic dance. Its a very special dance and yes I can do it while typing. This magic dance invokes great mystical powers, it charges forces of justice and right headedness. The dance, the one you can't see, cos like this is happening over that there Internet, but which I assure you I'm doing means that anyone. ANYONE who continues to dis Sinister Dexter, the wonderful Sinister Dexter, smells of poo. Smells so bad it makes ya momma wretch. IF. ANY. OF. YOU. SAY. ONE. MORE. BAD. THING...

...I've tried so long to be rational and sensible in trying to make you lot see sense. I wrote 20,000 bloody words on the subject, which I'm sure you've all read ever last word of with great care. I've tried all this rational  stuff and now I find myself reduced to childish taunts about you're personal hygiene... oh and magic dances. So bloody stop it okay.

I enjoyed Sinister Dexter again this week.

As for the rest of the Prog. Dredd was a solid opener but nowt fantastic. Brass Sun was steady but under par for this great thrill. The 3riller was pretty disappointing feeling like an extended Future Shock, which most of these of late have avoided. Aquila was a steady if unspectacular start. Average Prog, which is to say quite poor in Prog terms. Still looking forward to Black Shuck next week.

Now I continue to my magic dance and embrace my love of the mighty Sinister Dexter

I'm dancing
I'm doing a dance
You should see me
I'm dancin'
It imbues me
With special powers
that make you smelly
Oh so smelly
If you telly
of how you don't like
Sinister Dexter
See me dancing
I'm really dancing.

First week in an age where I have bupkis on order (apart from the Prog & Meg of course).

Strangely enough even though I won't be able to make it to my nerd shop this week they'd be little point as I don't think anything has come for me this week either.

The thing is though however valid the reason for the price its too expensive if people aren't willing to pay it. I liked Comic Heroes but it was too pricey for what it was for me and a number of others that I'm aware of. Real shame as I'd love something like this to take off.

I'm a big fan of the classic logo and even if its just for the one Prog it would be a great gesture.
