I've began creating a picture and after thinking it was saved I unplugged the computer to move it around the study.
I open up photoshop again.
I can see the picture preview in browser but it won't come any further.
Its still a psd
Is there any hop of rescuing the file?
Error message goes as such; COULD NOT COMPLETE YOUR REQUEST as UNEXPECTED END OF FILE WAS ENCOUNTED.
Could be your pc just being tempermental - have you tried opening it in Illustrator or Imageready? Are you trying to open it through the PS toolbar after moving it to a different folder after you last saved it? Maybe moving it from its current location to another file, then opening it from there could help - or drag and drop it on the Photoshop icon. That sometimes works.
Also: Have you tried turning it off and on again?
It opened in image ready as a pinke and blue blot spread across the *same* dimensions but no soft grey sketch.
I say I thouht I saved it but may've unplugged the computer too early.
Um... you do know to let the computer turn itself off before you unplug it? It's not good for it otherwise. Also, make sure you turn Photoshop off before you turn off the computer, as you can lose your preferred setup (assuming you have one) if you don't.
I'm trying a recovery program at the moment.
and the latest episode is excellently bleak, which always brings out the best in Lost.
Any joy? Feel free to mail me the PSD if you want me to give it a try...

Really?
That would be a great help, Matt.
I phoned a mate yesterday who reads encrypts. I tried sending it as a zip but hotmail started getting sniffy.
But if its the psd you can handle I'll gladly give it a go.
