Aaagh! In my second paragraph - the one about TB Grover, I wanted to say that many of these strips AREN'T readily available in reprint form (other than tracking down the old titan books, best ofs and Law in orders).

Sorry folks, and sorry to join this debate late, I was on my jollies when this first appeared.

I disagree, I think the Dredd files will start to get (for me) much more interesting now.

Most of us know the big epics likes the Cursed Earth, Cal, etc. like the back of our hands so I was less excited by the Dredd Files here. Now that CE and Cal are out of the way, I'm looking forward to reading about, and being reminded of, the one offs and rarer stories that I may have forgotten about. Especially as, lets face it, the earlier Dredds that Bish has written about don't really stand the test of time (terrible dialogue, massive plot holes and the many conflicting aspects of Dredd's world) and the Dredd universe was still being very clumisly set up.

I can't wait for Bishop to cover the REAL golden age of Dredd (i.e. the TB Grover era) as there were some absolute gems here that readily available in reprint. It'll be great to be reminded of some of that Wagner/Grant quirkiness.

As well as that though, I'm also hopeful that the Dredd files continue to the Ennis/Morrison/M*ll*r period as I'm sure many of us haven't re-read a lot of these dire tales and so it would be quite interesting to be remnded of them (in a rubber necking at a car crash kind of way.)

In all, I'd like 'em to stay as I think now they'll start to get more interesting as Dreed began to develop properly.

Saying all of that though, like a spoilt child I'd welcome one less episode of Charlie's War or Hell Trekkers to make way for more 'behind the scenes' articles of current strips (like they did with the first Devlin Waugh story and Maelstrom - design sketches and the like.)

Dunno if this has been mentioned elsewhere on the board but it looks great, even better than that strange Batman/Predator/Alien fan film that came out not so long back.

Tyranny Rex - I THINK I get the story but one thing bothers me - If they can just keep uploading her conciousness to a new clone body, why should we care if she lives or dies (again)?

Woah there Will! I'm sure most of us thought you were just joshing about your near nervous breakdown in London!

Most people are great here and DO show genuine concern when things are tough (I'm quite a rare poster but got loads of unexpected emails about a year ago when I mentioned my little mam had died, even from 'evil' Trouty!)

We all dead appreciate the work you put into your interviews, articles and reviews and I'm sure the gang will cheer you up if you need still it and will do just about anything to help.

Take care,

Pete.

I've tried ordering from MX2 a few times - they've always been the cheapest but ALWAYS out of stock and I've ended up cancelling after waiting weeks. It may be different for pre-ordered games but never-the-less, take care when ordering from this company!

Yup, great bloke and lovely Dredds. Lets hope we see him back on Dredd duties soon! After seeing AHAB, I'd love to see him take on Mean Machine, I'm sure he'd be great!

He's dead busy at present though, he said he was working on FIVE projects at the moment! Is this the norm for artists? I know it differs, but on average, how many projects do our beloved script and art droids take on?

"Wow, that is bloody beautiful. When did he do that for you?"

I hope telling you this isn't breaking some unwritten comic's code or being disrespectful to Richard but I bought a lovely piece of Avatar artwork from him (Ep 1, pg 4 shown below) and cheekily asked him if he would pop a sketch of Dredd in the envelope. I was amazed with what he sent and it's now framed and on my wall! What a guy!
