And, though it may seem stupid to say so, TELL THE TRUTH!

I've had so many mates who've been forced to the docs for various symptoms and then lie about their drug/alcohol/tobacco/pizza consumption. It's pointless and potentially life-threatening. Trust your doctor to keep confidentiality and tell them everything, even things you'd never tell your mum or your mates.

To digress, I have a mate who, in a dark period, did the opposite: His cough got so bad he couldn't sleep lying down, and when the doc asked him "have you been taking anything for this cough?", his honest answer was "Yes: heroin and cigarettes" (he's better and clean now btw, but still tells this story as an example of never missing the opportunity for a good gag, however grim life gets)

doc thinks its my iron levels but I need to go through some tests as it could be other things or might be I'm allergic to medication I take for arthritis. Also I have to be very careful how often and what I say to the doc as I give me work full access to my records. If I go to the doctors too often I need to speak to management as to if I'm fit to work x

over-sensitive gag reflex? that also earned me a night in hospital!!! abcess in my throat, lead to a Dr standing astride me on a chair with a large syringe down my throat gagging again and again as he tried to draw off the pus (or something) at which point a nurse can in, saw us from behind seemed to misread the situation turned red said 'god I'm sorry!' and hoofed it.  he gave up eventually and kept me in overnight.
