Hi

I was just wondering how to get copies of the fanzine Zarjaz.

Are all the issues still available (inc Dreddcon specials?)

Dudley

On top of that, what are the other fanzines etc out there?

James

Check out the fanzines page, at the bottom it has a red contact link for Andrew Lewis.

Also check out Solar Wind, issue 1 probably still available from Paul von Scott, with issue 2 in production as we speak.

P.S. check out the cover of Zarjaz issue 4, by me.

I always meant to get them too. Must do that.

But yeah case in point, this covers similar and a hell of a lot better than this weeks's prog!

You can find some ?79 stuff on this site at http://www.2000adonline.com/index.php3?zone=input&page=thrillindex>Fan Thrills or look at ?79?s old but still worth a peep at site: http://www.2000ad.nu/classof79/>The Class of ?79.

Presently working on another issue, Alan Grant and Jon Haward have turned in their two pages and awaiting for Dredd:Con to get the other contributors on board.

I've got both of the Class of 79 progs and love them both.

Just a thought I know the unpublished Court room script was illustrated by Rufus Dayglo in a Mcmahon stylee.

What do you think of the chances of the unpublished Alan Moore script being drawn in a similar way?

Do you think Alan Moore would throw a strop?

If anyone knows where I can get a copy of the script I'd investigate getting it done.

Published in one of the recent tomes on Alan Moore, I believe. If he doesn't read this I think The Watcher has a copy.

Hey Logan, it's in the Extrordinary Works of Alan Moore, a pretty good book on the beardy blokes work.  Lots of interviews.  I've loaned mine out without reading the script sadly.

I think it would be worth consulting the man himself before doing it, though as I'm not sure if he ever sold it to IPC, either way I'd ask first. Good idea though!

Bolt-01

I'd buy that for a dollar!!

Dont forget about Dogbreath! Haven't sorted any out for myself yet, but it is on my must buy list.

It's published in "The Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore".

To be honest (and speaking as a lover of all things Moore-ish) it's only really interesting as a curio, IMHO. It's fairly obviously written as a calling card to try and get work off Tharg rather than being a fantastically original and Mooreish take on Dredd. It's also written as a "first episode" rather than a self contained tale, so I'm not sure how satisfying it'd be as a completed strip. But it's certainly better than your average slush pile fodder. I can pass it on to you if you think someone might be interested in having a go at it (assuming Mr. Moore didn't object, of course :))

Courtroom took me a few months to get the OK on before we did that for '79 and I'd go about the Alan Moore story in the same way. Definately like to read it before trying to get permission and then work it out from there.

Pete that would be great.

Yeah I've got to reiterate what Pete said that it isn't an amazing Moore reinvention of Dredd, searching into the soul of the law man, but it would be interesting just to see it illustrated as a curio or piece of history.

Judge Pepper and Judge Giant Snr feature which shows the age of the thing.
