I've just received my pre-order copy of TDU 2 from Amazon  and I was supposed to get the free
casino and car for pre-ordering. I haven't got a code in mine . Does anyone know how I now get it?

Finally - a new book from arguably the slowest author that I read.
Ash , a new novel featuring David Ash from Haunted and Ghosts of Sleath.
Trouble is , it's not set for release until next year 

I have bad luck when it comes to reading novels - I started reading Richard Laymon novels , then about a month later , I read in SFX that he had died. Also I have read all Michael Crichtons novels and lo and behold he goes and dies! I also read Dan Brown who's on par for the slow stakes with Herbert.

What with Hallo'ween coming up I figured , just for a change from all the boring avatars you see around here , to show yourselves as wee Squaxx for a change.

This finally came by Amazon today and I held off reading any of it at work until I came home.
As soon as I came in at 17.15 I plonked myself on the sofa , didn't bother having a shower straight away which I normally do , and started reading. I've just finished now and it's what , 20.15!!
That's 3 hours that I was engrossed in this latest graphic novel. Sure , I've read all of it before , but in one chunk like this is just amazing. THIS is how stories should be written. You cannot fault this book in anyway whatsoever.
The only gripe is having to wait now for Tour of Duty volume 2.

Can we have a dedicated swap thread or can this post be used?
I'll be moving into my new apartment hopefully early August and when I unpack all my boxes I know there's going to be quite a bit of 2000ad/Dredd stuff that I've got multiples of.
I'd like to swap them for other items that I haven't got rather than just sell it.
You know , like - 'spare re-action figure' will swap for 'Asda SFX with bagged 2000ad'
Something on these lines.

After watching the youtube links to the tomorrow people on this forum , I had a sudden urge to want to go and live my life again to when I was most happiest.
Mine would be early eighties , specifically '84. I'd just discovered 2000AD ,I finally had my own room , I had friends back then whom I used to build dens with in the ruins of an old mansion on our local sanddunes , I had no responsibilities like work and bills , there was some great tv on at the time , 80's music (my fave) , the sweets and crisps (ringos , piglets and hedgehog flavour anyone?).
I could go on , but then I started to realise this aint going to happen and became all meh! again.

Remind me again - why do our football players get such high wages?

Just a heads up about e-bay if any of you use it to sell items.
I recently sold my copy of FF13 with guide to a buyer called jack.haze2010
He wrote to me just after the sale asking could i post the items urgently as it was his grandson's birthday which fell just before he gets his wages into his account. Hindsight is a wonderful thing , and like a fool i trusted him and sent the goods. Saturday came ( the day he said he'd pay ) and nothing! Days went by and still nothing , many messages went by and nothing. I had to report him to E-bay and as i was doing this I checked his recent feedback and lo and behold he's conned others the same way since he won my items. Seems like he pulls the same fast one on unsuspecting sellers.
You really think you can trust someone and then this happens and puts your faith in people right back at the beginning.

i've just recieved a promo brochure from simon and schuster who apparantly take over the licence from rebellion in april for graphic novels. on it theres some dates for release late in the year.

i would like to upload photos here occasionally but when i try to it tells me the photo size is too large , the max being 256kb.
how do i reduce a picture size from the ( roughly ) 1mb down to the 256kb needed?
i'm not very good with doing things like this so try to tell me in thicko terms

just enquiring - we have the St Patricks shirt and even the brilliant St Andrews one , is it too much to ask to have a St Georges themed t-shirt in time for April this year?
what would you want on it? Armitage? a Brit-Cit judge?

I'm sure its been mentioned before on these pages but i'm relatively new to here so i'll post anyway.

i was thinking how brilliant it would be to have judge dredd lego sets and figures available. i mean obviously theres star wars, indiana jones , spiderman and harry potter , but there is such a wide scope for lego sets from the dredd universe.imagine lawmaster sets and exclusive figures.the computer rendered dredd and death pictures elsewhere on these pages show exactly what can be achieved . also why not 2000ad figure kubrick type figures , again theres everything from metal gear to 24 jack bauer figures - WHY NOT DREDD etc...

you know they would sell as true collectors would buy two lots of everything , one to keep sealed - the other to...ahem 'play with'

i'm hoping someone can help with this - i've finally aquired both sets of the dredd movie and epic card subsets 'sleep of the just' and in the second part , the last card says to be concluded.
was there a third set to finish this story or did the idea just fall by the wayside? :ugeek:     - drop on by!
