So taking the bait.....two questions

What versions do you have?

And why do you need 5 different ones?

(The most I have bought something is three times).
I wasn't baiting, honest, just having a public word with myself. Original run, Titan omnibus, Titan omnibus again after water damage, Rebellion colourised paperbacks, and now this.

Other Reviews / I bought Halo Jones (again)

Just received my slipbook version of the new omnibus, and at the risk of providing this forum nothing of value, it's bloody great. Lovely look and feel, and arrived in perfect condition.

Instead of enjoying the background content, I immediately started re-reading the comic, so I have little else to say right now. I think this is the 5th time I've paid for this story. Unless they provide a free Alan Moore with the next version, this should be definitive.

The recent uproar over the D&D OGL is starting to look like it could torpedo the film amongst the fanbase, and I suspect it's not going to find much acclaim outside of that, so this seems an unusually timed move from WotC.
Amongst that proportion of the fanbase that both knows and cares about the OGL, anyway.

Games / Re: Last game played...

Got back on with Carrion on Switch over the holiday. What a beautiful game. Originally the lack of a map put me right off, but on a second playthrough I realised that there's no major backtracking required and the game does a pretty good job of leading you through its various levels. I would strongly recommend it to any Metroidvania types on the forum.

Went to see him when I was a kid. It was the first time I heard the word "f**king" on stage.

Likewise. Have a great time everyone!

I don't know enough of the lore to speculate on which era the series will cover, but I'm sure the local Squaxx will be very excited at the prospect of Dan Abnett writing any of it. I think there's an open niche for high-budget, super grimdark sci-fi. This could be hot.

Don't think he will be too upset as he is to star and executive produce a series adaptation of Warhammer 40,000 for Amazon Prime

Wow, okay. That could be hot.

Dynamite quote from that article: "Warhammer is akin to a Dungeons & Dragons."

I really enjoy The Witcher. I have no experience or affinity with the source material (never played the game, never read the books). Now, having been On The Internet for the last month or two, I find my experience of the show sullied by how much its showrunners must apparently hate the source, have been desperate to get rid of HC to shut him up, and want to rewrite the whole thing in their own image. Negativity, man. It's pervasive.

I'm a lover of all things Trek and the resurgence was supremely exciting. Things have petered out a bit. Discovery S1 and S2, I thought, were excellent. S3 and S4 not so much. Picard S1 pretty great, S2 one of the most disappointing runs of TV I can remember. Strange New Worlds S1 mostly brilliant. Lower Decks a constant joy.

I'm not sure where Discovery is going, it's lost its way. The far future setting is bland and the characterisations bordering on painful. I expect SNW S2 to be even better than its opener. As a full TNG redux, I hope desperately for Picard S3 to hit the right mark.

God, just seeing that blister pack sends me straight back to the toy shop in Torquay where I'd stare at those miniatures seemingly for hours, trying to decide where my meagre funds would be put to best use.

I don't have a Klegg, though, soz. (Should have led with that. :-| )

Agreed. Not as good as Knives Out (which is a high bar, admittedly), but good fun.
I was surprised they played the red herring of it being Sam Rockwell's character so early. This would have been a great distraction from the real culprit in the third act.

I don't think that last regeneration was a "proper" regeneration. I reckon the regeneration was interrupted so that Meladdo could interact with his own future without interacting with his own future. This is no doubt an incredibly dangerous and ill-advised, probably even Absolutely Forbidden by the Universe herself, course of action taken as a desperate last-ditch attempt to stop some Ultimate Level Uberbaddie from screwing everything up.

I like that theory!
