Well this seems to be settling in okay and with interesting face offs like this I can see why. Today I give you -

Jack Adrian (Chris Lowder) - http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=CHRISL

OR

Arthur Wyatt - http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=ARTHURW

Whose 2000ad writing do you prefer? Voting - just add a comment here with whose work you prefer (and anything else you might wish to say to discuss their work) closes sometime Saturday 16th May?

What the heck is all this about? https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=46406.0

Next face off starts tomorrow...

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Chris Lowder did some great stuff back in the day, but Arthur Wyatt's Dredds are good - so it's Wyatt for me.

I thought that the Dredd (2012) movie spin-off stuff would be a bit turgid (forced media crossover not having the best track record), but I've really been enjoying Underbelly, Uprise and Dust in the meg. They just effortlessly seem to tread their own Dredd without, y'know, doing a double whammy.

And then there's Monkey Business (M376-377) - a perfect slice of Mega-City pie from a writer who clearly gets the world.

So, my vote's for the Arthur Wyatt droid.

While he did solid Future Shock work in his time, I got more fun from Intestinauts alone than all of Lowder's Dan Dare strips put together, so Arthur Wyatt it is.

Two completely different eras and styles of comics writing, and yet it's actually a fair comparison: both have tackled the Prog's biggest star, but both are perhaps more associated with Shocks and smaller thrills.

A couple of years ago I might've gone Lowder, but Wyatt has been getting better and better, and even in his early years he always had that touch of 2000AD weirdness.

Yeah, I'm with Wyatt.
