Wait, wait, wait...

Sorry for the necropost - but is there a dog in this? Or am I the victim of a pub wind-up?

I played it for over 150 hours and never once got a dog as a companion.

And after downloading one of the DLC packs that 'ol mutt became immortal- a new one would spawn outside Vault 101 if its progenitor was killed.

I miss that fleabag

As well as the 'Puppies' perk, a bug in the Broken Steel DLC made Dogmeat almost indestructible in his own right - his health goes through the roof every time you level up. Good ol' Dogmeat - I loved that hairy guy.
