I have to say I loved America pt. 2, am I alone in thinking this? The end was brilliant.

>Have to admit, I really did like Helter Skelter too.

Wagner & Ezquerra had already done this story in the Judge Dredd 1983 annual. It was far shorter & far better in my opinion.

I think Christian Bale as Ozymandias would be a good choice, far better than Jude Law, I doubt he'd do it after Batman though.

Keanu just can't act, which is a problem, even especially in a character based film.

300 and Watchmen are completely different to each other in terms of comic book storytelling. 300 was more easily adaptable to film than Watchmen will be. Watchmen -all about structure- was designed to work exclusively as a comic book, a film version will only pale in comparison, so a literal translation would be terrible. 2000AD characters are more adaptable to films than most comic book characters, literal translations of them would be easier if done properly.

I think the greatest obstacle for a "Watchmen" film is that the story was designed to work exclusively in a comic format of captions and single panels that feed off each other in a profound way. To try and pull off that kind of impact it makes on the page, in a film, is a bit pointless and can only lessen it's meaning, or worse, be boring.

Dredd is far more suited to a "proper" cineamtic adaptation than Watchmen will ever be. Watchmen should only ever be a comic, they couldnt even get V for V right.

Think you're confusing it with 'Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?', buttonman. THE greatest Superman story I've ever read. Now that would be a good cartoon!

No he's not confused, it's the other Superman Moore story he's talking about : "For the man who has everything" which is far better than Whatever Happened...

David Hayter's script is what they are working from, this has been around for nearly 5 years. I'd rather they left Watchmen alone though, it was written to suit it's format & not any other

Silver, because he had great facial scar, a limp & a great eagle cane. McGruder was class too. But let's wait & see what Fargo was like.

Please no paypal, it's too dodgy. I know of too many accounts being frozen & money disappearing.

How about best artist to never take a proper crack at the series?

David Lloyd may have been interesting.
