It's a good job that was taken from the scene where he's looking in the mirror ;)

Logic....it's a wonderful thing.

Loved the series - refreshing to see something this good on British television.

[spoiler]Have to admit that midway through the final episode, I turned to my wife and said "I have a horrible feeling the ending is going to disappoint me....it's going to be all "We saved the world and we're going to live happily ever after"

But that feeling disappeared the moment it all clicked into place in the last 10 minutes. Wow.

And I liked the tease on the front of the DVD for the series - "Series 1"....will we get another? We bloody better.

And R.B.'s "Don't put the gas away yet" at the very end of the credits was perfect :D

6 episodes, last one is next Tuesday.

We had 4 of them stored up and watched them all over the weekend just gone - just brilliant stuff. And the first episode made me uneasy purely because of the Wilson torture scene.....eyes are my 'squeamish' point. Doesn't matter what other violence and gore goes on.....but get eyes involved and I get uncomfortable.

And R.B. likes his head shots, doesn't he?

Film Discussion / Re: Dredd (2012)

Dredd is now on Sky Box Office - I found out as a result of a load of messages last night from a mate to the effect of "oh man, I really wish I'd listened to you and seen this in the cinema"....my response was "yep, so do I"

He's heading out today to get the Blu-Ray.

Season 4 was superb but the quality of the rest has been consistently good too.

Agreed - for me, it started good and got better all the way through to Season 4....so that's the rating there 1 - 2 - 3 - 4.

Even though I didn't really enjoy season 5, it was still good - watching it again recently allowed me to drop the "it was crap" idea I had in my head hehe. Good thing, for me, is that it's gone 5 - 6- 7 for me. So if season 8 can match season 4, then I'm a happy fecking bunny.

You're in for a treat - I'm an obsessive with regards to Dexter, and have to have it as soon it's on. It's almost season 4-level again.

The wife was miles behind me until recently - she finally started season 4 about 2 weeks ago, and flew threw that on Netflix. On to Season 5 for her, and just finished - she enjoyed it more than I did (found it a bit of a come-down compared to season 4) and she's about to start Season 6 tonight. She's got a thing for religion related murder/horror, so this one is right up her alley.

Have fun!!

I actually quite enjoyed that review, for some reason I can't figure out.

Another cracker from it:

QuoteSpeaking of Ma-Ma (Lena Headey), about the only positive thing I found in Dredd was that the villain wasn't your usual evil male. In this case, it's an evil non-male.....

Might try that one out with the wife later - see how I get on.

Got home from work last night, to see my youngest daughter (nearly 3) standing at the front door waiting for me with Dredd DVD in hand saying "It's yours", then going inside to see my other daughter (4) sitting on the sofa reading a Dredd case file. Both of them demanding to watch the film (yeah, no chance kids....not yet)

Packed them off to bed, stuck it on and watched with the wife - and she loved it. I could quite easily have watched it again as soon as it finished.

Is it supposed to be the block she grew up in...?

That's exactly what I thought.

Loads of exciting things on screen but Ian McShane as that demented Santa was sublime :o

Ian McShane is a legend - great to see him playing this character, and I hope they pull him in for the 3rd season (if one happens)

He's brilliant in Deadwood.

Very nice - liking the colour work on Death...so much that I'm going to get my current 'plain' 4 dark judges coloured in as soon as I can afford too.
