Anton has been posting some really good songs by the two of them recently.

This one for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w--g0fUclFk

Gives me good The Kills vibes. Tess voice is amazing.

It's been streaming on NPR all week but not really doing it for me. Found this new John Talabot thing a lot more interesting, tbh.
We never really die.

Slough's finest, Thousand Yard Stare continue their revival with a double EP - Stargazing & Deep Dreaming. This on the back of a great set of gigs last year gave them the ooomph to go back into the studio.

This is very welcome as are the new Ride and Slowdive albums next month - it's like the last 25 years never happened!

Wow now you are taking me back... Thousand Yard Stare huh!

It seems it's the season for the indie revival - far too many gigs for me to afford going around at the moment. TYS were great last year live and their new stuff is really good.

It's great that Shoogaze bands like Slowdive and Ride are confident the audiences are still thirsty for more quality music... it's not like anyone actually listens to Radio 1 though do they?  ;)

Thank you. I needed this song in my life :D

Queens of the Stone Age - Villains

First impression: it's good, though I can't help but feel it needs another slow, meandering song on it - unlike its more languid predecessor, it seems to be in quite a hurry. Drums sound slightly muted. Quite a few moments (as is frequently the case with QOTSA) where I feel like Josh Homme is channeling old mentor Chris Goss from Masters of Reality - specifically, the latter's 'Pine / Cross Dover' album.
