No Joey Tribbiani? Gary Oldman? Fuck that.

Fixed!   ;)

I really had high hopes and was full of goodwill going in, but it was overlong, exposition heavy with all those superhero tropes that are becoming frustratingly tiresome and aside from some good visuals and performances, it was all a bit dull to be honest.

Oh and seemingly par for the course for recent Marvel movies, dull villain and underwhelming climax (scrub that, superhero movies in general).

Commendable for it's representation of a criminally ignored social group , but it doesn't advance the formula of superhero movies in any way.

Bare in mind that I'm increasingly bored with superhero movies, but Marvel/Disney have me hooked, like a drug I can't seem to quit, and I'm in to the bitter end!

My comment was more directed at those who would accuse 2000AD of demonstrating tokenism by having the special and saying they would boycott it as a result.
These views can sadly be seen expressed on various social networks.  :(

Take your point entirely Dweezil, and this is not intended as a dig at you, but not giving a shit about gender is the considerable privilege of those who have the 'right' one.  Which I think is where we came in...

I maybe didn't articulate myself adequately and I certainly didn't take it as a dig mate!  ;)

2000AD is crying out for new blood and particularly from an unrepresented group, such as women.

Which is probably what I should of said in the first place!!!!

I still enjoy my weekly dose of thrillpower and would be bereft without it quite honestly, so you'll hear very few complaints from me.

I really couldn't give a shit about gender, but fresh writers and artists creating for 2000AD can only be a positive thing and should be celebrated!

Acts Of Vengeance on Netflix.

The kind of mildly diverting action, revenge flick that would of starred Jean-Claude Van Damme or Dolph Lundgren back in the 80's, but instead here has Antonio Banderas avenging the murder of his wife and child.

Some fairly well staged and choreographed fight scenes and a bulked up Karl Urban who gets to utter the line "creeps" being the few things to recommend it.

20 minutes in. Does it get any better because at the moment it is an awful attempt to ape early Guy Ritchie with a stunt man trying to do an impression of Jason Statham. So much cringy voice-over.

Shut it, you slaaaaaaag!!!  ;)

The more women in comics, particularly 2000AD, the better!

Like much of the creative arts, comics is a sausage fest!!!

I am curious to know what Star Wars films that die-hard fans really want?

Guardians of the Galaxy.

Yup.....light hearted (mostly), fun, adventure, happy ending......this please.

As long as it's not GOTG 2, that was rubbish.
