Mine arrived today and like John Mills said - worth waiting for!

It has a satisfying weight to it and really captures McMahon's Dredd.

Dredd stands well on the plinth and the eagle stays on his shoulder if you just put it there - not sure I'll use any glue.

Feel exactly the same way about each of the stories as Hippynumber1, so won't repeat - only thing I'd add is that I thought the Dredd story - which I was so enjoyable - ended a bit abruptly...

I was amazed to see this yesterday in my local Costcutter - or is it called Nisa now, can't remember.. Anyway I immediately snapped up one of the two copies.

How could you not, with that amazing cover! Love the old style Tharg on the cover of the boy's comic.

All in all a great special.  Great old-school Dredd, that film director was pushing her luck with Dredd I thought.. and the welcome return of Ace Trucking.  Robo-Hunter also worked well and had some good laughs.

Beautiful Higgins art - let's have him back in the prog doing some Dredd if possible.

I'd certainly buy a hardback annual. Surprised it can't be done, given the number of other books released, bookplate editions, apex editions, hardback anniversary editions etc..

Which of the artists who have done Anderson after him does he most like? And before him I suppose..

What a cover - stunning work!

Still loving Dredd, him having to take his boots off in ma Joyce's house was a real treat.

Glad to hear Jaegir is replacing Slaine.

Was never really into Outlier and I have to admit I'm not sure what's going on now..

Helium continues to intrigue..

Thanks for the tip Link, just had a look they're nice - badge and helmet - but as you say, not the man himself!

The colour guide's a bit of alright too..

Would love some McCarthy art, but really want it to be Dredd so should be strong and wait (and save) for what I really want rather than just get what's available.  Difficult though..

Blimey O'Reilly I'm enjoying Dredd.

Helium follows up the opener well and closes with menace. Really taken with the whole idea of the top world and now news of others. I like the art and think it suits the story well but I can see how some may not get on with it.

Hopeful about Absolom..

Slaine is the usual. Didn't get into Outlier before and not sure I will this time. Not wild about the cover either.

Still a reasonable prog overall.

Saw this at the Southbank screening and loved it - does anyone know if/when it will be released on DVD?

Great prog!

Macneil on Dredd and a very promising opener.

Not that familiar with Absolom but like it.

Enjoying the art in Slaine still.

Helium, 10 pages and not a single one wasted - superb stuff.

Roll on next week.
