Would go well with the Case Files bedstead...

No chance they'll arrive by Saturday I suppose... if it did, you could take it down to FP on FCBD and ask McM to sign the base!

Those test issues sound really interesting - other than the spines, are there any other identifying features on the books?

What this post has really brought home though is..

As a subscriber to the mega collection, in it for the long haul, the fact that I'll need space for the 80 books! It would be a shame to just box them up. I'm in the same position (wife and sprog) and what with a modest interest in original art too, negotiating the space is going to be tough.  I suppose I knew all along really..

Stacking them up under the bedside table can only go on for so long...

Another strong Prog.

Wasn't that keen on the cover at first, but it's grown on me.  There's lots of detail in the background to enjoy and that little beastie on the girls leg is a nice touch.

Dredd, to be continued....argh!! Was really enjoying that.  I agree with our bovine friend that judges, even weakened ex-judges wouldn't be quite so amenable to the murderous Sovs.

Orlok, always a bit touch and go and I can't get the image, put there by a fellow boarder, of it being done by Brendan McCarthy out of my head.

I think the story in Slaine will only really have the necessary pace when it's collected so I'm just going to relax with it and enjoy the art.  Love the Belardinelli style warp-spasm on the first page!

Grey Area, ok this week.

Stronty Dog goes from strength to strength! It's good to see Johnny having some fun and keeping abreast of developments in Freedonia.

Good show Tharg.

I had the 'Credit Card' fall off an old Ron Smith Dredd page and used Pritt Stick to stick it back on.

This was many years ago though, not sure I'd be so casual now..

Also, it was quite thick card, not sure how thick the speech bubble is..

Great prog this week, full house for me - loved the cover and enjoyed all the stories!

Dredd and klegg always a good combo and the Sovs turning up was a surprise.

Even enjoyed Slaine this week but mostly for the Massimo flashbacks.

Orlok's enjoyable if rather confused at times. I'm normally a fan of b/w art but not so sure about this.

Grey area - sexy aliens and an amusing shower scene, what's not to like!

Loving Stronty Dog and this week especially the artwork over the last few pages. The shiny digital colouring can make the art
look a bit flat but those last few pages look great.

Good prog Tharg - keep up the good work!

Been away for work and have returned home to find 2 books of Dredd stories I don't think I've ever read! (Excluding Father Earth of course). A first for me and the mega collection.

Just finished the first Mandroid story - dark and disturbing but brilliant.

The Ransoms are beautiful - as always - and I think I remember marvelling at how good that fish was from the prog..

Love those recent FCBD covers, congrats on getting one and a really interesting back-story to boot!

Thanks for the heads up rogue!

DR & Quinch vs pretty much anyone from DC or Marvel comics really!

What a cracking page! Certainty and confidence, earned by experience, just oozing from Dredd there...you'd have to be a fool not to take his advice...

Great to have Siku back, but rather an odd face on Anderson and a wrinkly left arm, I thought...

Anyway, The Cop's been damn good from the start and keeps up the pace in this episode, the art and story telling really gels - I'll be sad to see it go.

The pin-up stuff - the bike and especially the Dredd themed election poster - really is part of the charm of 2000ad and long may it continue.  Great touch at the bottom of the poster 'Russell Brand Block Democratic Fringe'.

Reaper continuing probably isn't enough to make me cancel my subscription if I'm honest, but it's about the only thing that makes me consider it...apart from perhaps lots of pages of advertising reprint..

Anderson, mmn rather lukewarm about this - and I love an Anderson story normally - the one Michael Dowling illustrated recently was superb.  In the current story - given the obvious danger - why wouldn't she simply ask for back-up? It's not like she's got anything to prove, and it's a reckless way of testing the cadet if that's her intention. It's got potential though..

Angelic's been the stand-out for a while, a well crafted story and superb art.  If Carter is using a combination of drawn and digital (which he probably is), he does it beautifully. To my taste, the introduction of digital in line work and especially colouring, has meant a loss of texture, depth and life in comic strip art.  I know I probably sound like a bit of a luddite, but it's personal taste I suppose..

Really enjoying Dredd and the Stronty Dog stories. Grey Area too.

Love the Slaine art as usual but the story, less so..

A Cow could not be more right - Brendan McCarthy would be amazing on the Orlok strip!
