Anyone know why one page of Liam Sharp's story is so lo-res? Is it intentional or just another really annoying oversight in a £25 book?
It's a joke. I was joking.

I, Cosh

Don't have the reprint but I seem to remember Liam's story swings very deliberately from a single magic marker eyebrow to an insanely detailed Mek Quake at the turn of a page.

Actually, I think my - sadly unpublished - review ofThe Third Way (or whatever) went on at some length about how amazing that frustrated MQ face panel is.

It's not the detail in the art - it's just a lo-res image with normal lettering.

if it's the last page of the story, yes same for me, and very low res indeed  :(.
I have no explanation and don't own prog 1239 to verify how it was originally printed.  :-* :-*

Dark Jimbo

It was fine in the prog but looked like a corrupted jpeg in the paperback rerint. I was really hoping someone might've fixed that for the Mek Files.  :( Apparently not.

If the lettering's fine, then it sounds like a broken link in the InDesign file to the high-res art, forcing ID to use the low-res preview it generated itself for display purposes, instead of the full- res print version. Odd that a single page should be affected, though, since you'd normally expect all the art for a given episode/chapter/book to all be sitting in the same folder...

Cheers

Well that is really disappointing. I would guess that they used the same files that they used for the original reprint which still had the error.

Anyone know if there is a planned reprint to replace these copies?

Here's the scan from prog 1239,definatley a lot clearer than the reprints .

Had to go hunting through my old harddrives for it :)
