That was great as usual. I'm always amazed at what comics creators in the 70s decided was perfect for children - basically 18 cert films without swearing or sex.  I mean, it's exactly what I wanted when I was a kid, but no other medium would allow it.

I've never read One-Eyed Jack, but was delighted to hear that his surname was McBane. How you guys described it sounded pretty much exactly like the other McBane. (Or McBain, as I've just learned from Wikipedia.)

Edit - and now I've just learned that there was a real film called McBain too.  Apparently it's the go-to name for hard men, like the given name Joe for Pat Mills, I suppose.

Time for the Incredible Adventures of Janus Stark and Chris Wright joins me to discuss his india-rubber contortions in the fog-bound streets of Victorian London. We also review the Smash special and reminisce about comic conventions and look forward to the days when we'll all meet again.

A glorious Ian Kennedy double page Dan Dare from the New Eagle. This is one of Phillip Vaughan's grail pages from episode 130.

Love these, but love A Handful of Dust too. What's happened to Worlds End?

Eamonn Clarke

We had a week off for some life getting in the way stuff.
Episode 8: World's End will be out tomorrow morning and we have recorded episode 9: The Kindly Ones this week so hopefully should be back on schedule.

Thanks for listening
