Whether or not the creators should profit, well, that's another debate.

All creators receive reprint royalties from their books, this includes sales of ebooks.

That's good to know. I wasn't sure how work for hire creators stood on this considering the ownership of their characters was the company.

And if you think there are no production costs in ebooks then you really have no idea about how the world of ebooks works.
I didn't say there was no production costs for ebooks. I'd imagine it would be less taking into account the lack of printing though. My post wasn't arguing for massive reductions in the cost of ebooks compared to printed media anyway.

I was actually replying to Lorcan's comment, though as has been pointed out the physical artefact of a book is actually one of the lesser costs.

Ok sorry. I agree. I got confused just seeing myself in the quote.  :-[

Sorry £1.89.

Smart move updating the price difference there Kyuss, the pedantic predators proliferating this forum were moments away from striking I'm sure.

Great price for anyone that hasn't read it.
I Have it in a few formats as it is, may as well get it digital too. Cheers for the tip.

I popped onto Amazon there to see if they had any other Kindle bargains, and noticed that Egmont UK have some collections available, such as 'The Thirteenth Floor' & 'Misty'.

Anyone try these? The prices are quite good (less than 2 quid)

Note the page count for The Thirteenth Floor: 25. For £1.78. That's not bad, but new issues of 2000 AD in print are only £2.35, by comparison.

Never copped the page count!
I bought the 'Misty' one just to check it out. Will download on my Nexus later.

Kindle Halo Jones on Amazon £1.29.

Those prices are not available in the U.S.  Which sucks.

Case files 1 & 2 and Trifecta up for £1.29 each.

Devons Daddy

bloody hell!!

the whole ebook thing looks so tempting,
i purchase stuff through comicsX which i enjoy,

i abstain from 2000ad stuff as i enjoy the physical,
but at these prices with a decent cloud account for storage, its a big push for me to go this direction.

Question, if anyone can answer,
at these prices does rebellion still get there fair share?
I would not wish to be part of such challenges of revenue reduction.
cold hard economics are important to the brand.
i am willing to pay a few quid extra under such circumstances.
I AM VERY BUSY!
PJ Maybe and I use the same dictionary, live with it.

NO 2000ad no life!

It'd be nice if 2000 AD had a presence on Comixology. You know it would be a nice earner.
