I've heard that tracing paper is great for inking as it has very little bleed, giving the artist nice crisp lines. Apparently it also takes ages to dry as a result of this bleed meaning the possibility of a catastrophic smudging accident goes through the roof.

Been a while since I worked on traditional media but I do remember tracing paper being really expensive.

I don't mind the idea of remaking Logan's Run, as long as they put Michael York as the old man in it.

Have a safe journey Locusts!

I hope the TSA don't fondle you too intrusively upon arrival. After spending so much time in this commie infested, socialist nightmare we call Britain, they may want a good fondle. Make sure we haven't altered your scrotum in an unconstitutional way, you know. Perfectly understandable really.

Assuming I manage to colour it in time, Dave Hailwood and I will have something submitted to STRIP. It is a lot of colouring to do though, I may require an all-nighter. Time to put the coffee on. :(

Strewth! My copy of Zarjaz has just arrived! Great issue, chaps!

And I'm not just saying that because I'm in it.

I got myself a copy of Shaky's Monster Truck at Bristol 2010 (got him to sign it too! Yippee!) and it's quite awesome. Awesome, in a completely surreal and drugged out way but awesome nonetheless!

Ruddy Megaupload preventing some earthlings from getting their frills! Here's a Rapidshare link for those getting denied:

I do want to do another ZOOAD!, it was a lot of fun making this one and there were loads of ideas and strips that I wanted to put in but didn't have time.

Books & Comics / ZOOAD! now free!
09 June, 2011, 03:49:41 PM

ZOOAD! is my first self published book that made it's printed debut at Bristol this year alongside Crazyfoxmachines wonderful Dr WTF?! I wrote, drew and lettered the whole damn thing in the two weeks running up to Bristol and just got it ready in time.

Sadly there are no more print copies available and I cannot be bothered going back to a photocopier to make more so I am giving it away for free!

Here is a link to download the pdf version:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Z5AG6RRL

I would like to thank our very own bluemeanie who has kindly written up a very nice preview of ZOOAD! over at his site. Go there:

http://2000ad.wordpress.com/2011/06/09/its-zooad/

Now be quick and download it, chaps! Spread it far and wide before Tharg realises I have mocked his illustrious organ and sends round the Lawyerbots to work me over with bats and chains!

If I survive, there may be more ZOOAD! to come! :)

Picked it up this morning from HMV and got a free Bluray of LA Confidential and a DLC code for a gun of some sort. Not a bad deal as I can flog the movie for a tenner on ebay Promised myself I wouldn't play it until I finish inking a page.

Inking at breakneck speed, really want to play the game! >:(

Help! / Re: Holiday Destinations...

I'd recommend Amsterdam, it has everything an arty person could want on a holiday, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, cannabis, prostitutes and the Heineken brewery (with free samples at the end).

is that a miniature landraider designed for the undercity, 'cos it looks rather small compared to the two judges standing on it?

Cripes, I have been rumbled! Those judges are too big in that panel, I made them that size so they would be properly visible in the splash rather than little blobs poking out of it. I'm sure there will be plenty in the strip for Dredd fans to pick out as inaccurate, such as the links in their chains, I think I only gave everyone six...

The shame, the shame...  :(

I played a bit of this an a friends 360 and quite enjoyed the atmosphere of it all. I loved Stalker on PC too so I may have to give this game another bash, especially as it is at bargain basement price now.

Also be sure to remind him that it is customary for people with 2000AD fanzines to send a copy to Tharg.

Thanks for reminding me, Emperor. I'll dig up an address and send a few Thargs way. I'm planning on uploading the whole thing online at some point so everyone can enjoy my rather savage parody.

I'm glad that it was well received, there is so much in 2000AD ripe for parody that I had to leave tonnes of stuff out due to the breakneck pace the whole thing was put together in. Might have to make another one, unless Thargs lawyerbots pay me a visit with their blowtorches and claw hammers!

Crazyfoxmachine got some awesome sketches, especially from Kev Crossley. I hope he uploads some of them!

Also, I must remember to thank Mike Carrol for making that lovely Judge Dredd font which I used and shamefully forget to credit him for. Thanks, Mike!

Had a great time at the con, even though the drive down was appalling. Thunderstorms in Manchester and a lengthy diversion around the M5 almost doubled the length of the journey. Wasn't all bad though, the diversion had us sitting in traffic in a hamlet in the middle of the Black Country called Bellend.

It was awesome to meet some of the boarders as well, now I can put faces to the posts. I sold a good few of my comic ZOOAD! which I am quite chuffed with as it wasn't revealed until saturday morning. I was sad to have to leave so early on the sunday but my budget was drained and I had to drive back up to Scotland. Next time I will stay the course!

Owen, his buddy and I were sketched by one of the chaps from the Dead Star Publishing table:

He captured our likenesses perfectly!
