I'm absolutely gutted by the news. I knew he was ill, but it still doesn't lessen the shock. Carlos will be missed sorely by us all, but I take comfort in the fact that his work will live on forever. ❤

[Grandville Force Majeure]

As well as the above, I'm looking forward to Grandville Force Majeure. Noel was a really enjoyable read and I'm pretty certain Talbot's new book will be just as good.

Satania by Fabian Vehlmann and Kerascoet. Loved Beautiful Darkness so really looking forward to this.

I got the first book of Metabarons cheap on Comixology but I found it a bit of a slog to be honest. Must give it another go some time.

Metabarons is a richly rewarding experience although it can drag on a tad, my advice is to take time with it, and definitely give it another try!

[Metabarons]

I went through Jodorowsky's Metabarons series and it was quite probably one of the greatest sci-fi sagas I have read! It is a pure joy, and fans of 2000AD definitely need to check it out. I love the dynamic between the two robots Tonto and Lothar, as they recount the story of the Metabaron's ancestry. They could easily sit alongside Walter as some of the most memorable robot charactees created in comics. 

The ongoing Metabaron series is also very impressive.

Technopriests is also another Jodorowsky title I gobbled up like a paleo-fiend. My thoughts on these books can be found on my blog below.

I really need to get back on the prog and meg bandwagon as I've missed out, but feck, it feels good to be back!

Pinapple Express; if you want to warn your kids about the dangers of drugs, show them this film! 

Absolutely laughed my socks off. James Franco steals the show though, a brilliant turn from him.

Also, The Machine; I had me reservations about this film when it was touted as the 'British Bladerunner' (nothing compares to Bladerunner!), but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Ex-Machina is far better, but this film does have some good things going for it, although the Vangelis like synth score was pushing it a bit at times (yes we know you like Bladerunner Mr. Director).

Thanks for that guys, I simply cannot miss series 2! 

Damn, when did season 2 start? What bloody planet am I on?! 

Gomorrah Season 1: Absolutely bloody fantastic! The story is set in Naples, and concerns the notorious Comorro or mafia. We have a young foot soldier, Ciro has a dreams of becoming a boss, all the while playing a dangerous game. Genny the son of the mafia boss who seems afraid to follow in his fathers footsteps (his transformation is amazing). But the real tragedy is seeing how their criminal activities affects the whole community, from the poor to the very rich. There are moments of genuine shock, and twists. For example, the last episode with its closing scenes had me scraping my jaws off the ground. It's one of the best series finalé ever. If you're a fan of such shows as Breaking Bad, Sopranos et al, do not miss this series.

Wow. This is great news if it does happen! 

Well, Chappie seems to be getting a bit of a kicking from the critics.

Let's hope Blomkamp has a lot of help with his Alien script...

Those shots are amazing, good luck with your endeavours guys; Judge Minty still remains my favourite fan film, can't wait to see how good old Stronty turns out too!
