Anyone any ideas on the best frame to display progs 1,2,3 with free gifts/ Let me know thanks.

Geoff

I'd probably frame 1,2 & 3 separately each with their free gifts.

If the Selotape on no.1 has dried and come away and the spinner is detached then you can stick it on the front on the glass with blue tack (that's what I've done, looks pretty good!)

Free gifts for the others can go alongside or underneath maybe...I've not framed my no.2 & 3

Simple black or silver frame prob work best and uv glass if you want to stop them fading.

All of them in one frame as well as the gifts may be a bit large and unwieldy, but may work.  Be interested to see once it's done anyway...

unless I had doubles of all 3 I would not frame them.
Difficult to read in and enjoy in that format in my opinion.

I didn't know you could get uv glass for frames. Is it expensive and where do you get it?

I think this is cool and I'd love to see the results.
Doesn't Jonathan Ross have prog 2 framed with a sign that says "If thrill power levels are low break glass" (paraphrase)
If you want advice EzeFrame could probably help - big online framer based near me in Bedford
Cool project. If you'd share the results I'd love to go the same for other progs

It is expensive (compared to non-UV glass) but most framers should be able to supply it upon request.

I had several 2000AD-related prints framed recently and when I enquired afterwards about how much having UV glass would cost the framer I used pointed to a roughly A3 size pane and quoted a figure that I don't actually recall now but I made me think, okay I just won't position these prints in direct sunlight!

You can get uv glass from eBay or from a framer. I buy ready made frames, then measure up for the mount myself and order that on the net.

The cash I save there, I spend on the uv glass. Then put it all together, quite an enjoyable process when it all comes together.
