Other Reviews / Space Captain

Anyone else read Space Captain by Michael Park and Chris Baldie?  A great self-published comic that would not be out of place in the Megazine.   Would, perhaps, be a bit of a change of pace but would fit very well and is certainly up there in terms of quality.

I've written about it a few times on my Blog! Be interested to hear what others think.

While I'm doing the research for the next part of the Sports in 2000AD series of posts, a fill in post on the first Science Fiction novel I ever read.   A Dan Dare spin-off novel from the mid-fifties that I read more than a decade after it was published.

Re. Thor, or rather the Tales from Asgard backup stories appearing in the Eagle.   This was at the time that Odhams had the UK rights to reprint Marvel Superheroes.  The Power comics line, Wham!, Smash! and Pow! along with Terrific and Fantastic were owned by the same company as owned The Eagle.

Is it rude to mention my own blog here?

Splank! is a blog about old British comics and the current self-published and small press scene in the UK and Ireland.  Posts go up a couple of times a week.  Currently working on a series of articles on Sports in 2000AD.  Second post just published today and you can find it here http://splankblog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/the-rise-and-fall-of-sports-comics-in_15.html

Be great to hear from any of you.

Can anyone tell me how long the posting restrictions last?  Have tried to get involved in a couple of areas but appear to be blocked from replying.

Just joined.  Longtime reader of British Comics, write a Blog called Splank! about old British Comics and new self-published comics from the UK and Ireland.  I've just started a series of articles on Sports comics in 2000AD which some of you might find interesting.  Second part should be published later this week.
