I had one of those fantasy art books (not the ones with lots of tits, though remember when you were old enough to think Boris Vallejo must be one of the best artists in the world, lol), I think it was called 'fantasy art techniques' except it didn't tell you anything about how to do them, well I was only 14 or so and had got it from one of my early encounters with the evil book club.

Anyway, this book had a groovy pic of a Hammerstein model.  I imagine it was for Starlord.

Also, nice to notice that IPC Fleetway stiffed Martine Bower for the fee for the model work he did for the 1980 Dan Dare annual.  Good work Fleetway, you truly were evil...

Yeah, that book is pretty nifty. Martin Bower did do the Hammerstien model as well - shame there's nothing about how he did it on the site.
