Thanks Mabs! No not based on anyone, just out of my head. I get the pencil moving and see what happens and refine things from there usually.

I'm doing a live design [internet explorer getting catered for last... sorry folks!] on the website, so if you do notice any weird things, or have any suggestions, I'd be keen to hear them.

There will be as many preferences as makers-of-marks I imagine! I like a decent bristol board for pencil & inks - quite fond of strathmore papers, they do a range of prices and types too.
