Off Topic / Spleen venting

Have been looking for a house for 18 months.

Saw one 8 days ago.

Surveyed and offered last Monday.

After negotiation, agreed everything last Friday - their solicitor confirmed it all.

Now they want to go to a closing date, having hawked our offer to all the viewers they sleeketly arranged at the weekend.

All very legal, but not much help with Mrs X's tears.

Cats are sinister.
Dogs aren't.

Never trust anything that sneers at you; neither feline nor feminine.

I met a nice south african. I worked with him, about 8 years ago. He was a true gent, in the old fashioned sense (ie giving up seats for ladies, waiting until everyone was served before eating).

He was also scarily big - Johna Lumu (sp) big.

Once, while on a bus, a group of neds were accosting a young lady with a baby. It was nothing too bad, just bad language and sitting behind her and banging her seat with their feet.

After a few minutes, during which everyone else looked out the windows as if nothing was going on, he turned around to the three or four boys and said: "Please stop doing that, before I do something you will regret."

There was a stunned pause, then one brave/ stupid (your choice) lad said "feck off" to our SA chap and commenced violently kicking the young woman's seat with BOTH feet.

What followed was the most powerful right hook you could imagine; so powerful, the young man's travelled across his seat and banged his head off the window.

The group were strangely quiet for the rest of the journey.

Nonsense. The man is clearly drawing with a ruler. Since when did people have such oddly proportioned bodies? Compare this to his Cursed Earth stuff to see how far the mighty has fallen.

McMahon's new stuff looks like it was drawn by a disinterested child.

With crayons.

Not really trying.

And blind.

Using a ruler.

My wife went to school with:

Roch Star.

(Roch, is pronounced the same way as loch. Not that that will help some of you, unless there is a need to clean your monitor and you spit all over it trying to pronounce the word)

Sorry not to answer but I remeber the line

"I dreamed I dreamed I dreamt a dream, and I dreamt that the dream was real"

and can't find its source anywhere.

Any helpers?

Maybe that's why subscription copies come in plain envelopes?

I'm sure a read a short story that starts with the last man alive is sitting in a room and something turning off the lights. It turns out it is the last woman, and they are in an alien zoo.

A title's not compulsary, is it?

If it is then how about:

"Musings of a Dying Perp"

Wars. Zombies. Necropolis. And I've never been shot. Bullets everywhere, just not near me.

Then Jena hits Umpty, Mona's rad-poisoned. Organ leggers. Lungs, liver: 30K.

"Bank job," Flak said. "EMP the 'bots, then arcade jackpot."

Dredd hit an artery. Still, better dead than cubed.

Bullet didn't get me.

City did.

Help! / Re: Why aren't the animated icons ...

Is that title meant to be a tounge twister?

How about this for a reply:-

The animated icons are animated when the icon animation is activated.

Thoroughly enjoyed it when I saw it on Saturday. Especially the opening ten to twenty minutes, when civilization goes down the pan.

If only the inevitable, cheesy, deeply wrong and risibly needless zombie baby scene had been omitted and this would have been as good a (western) horror as anything from the 90s.
