Help! / How do you set up a poll?
09 July, 2004, 03:51:49 PM
I can't think of a worth while poll to set up, I posted this thread for Tweak's benefit, everybody seems to be ignoring this question on the anti Dredd Metro rant thread. Maybe out on its own people will notice.

General / D.R and Quinch

Maybe it's just my sense of humour, but I think D.R and Quinch is overrated (have to admit I liked the Hollywood ep though)

Okay drum roll, winners in acending order
.
.
.
.
.
Wooden Spoon goes to rac for his, ehem, unique Nemesis the pony, you have least put a little effort in.
.
.
.
.
3rd place goes to Valkyries Pony by mbanners(probably would rank higher, were it not for the fact that it disturbed me so)
.
.
.
.
2nd place goes to psi-pony anderson by Cybermax, nice use of approprite big hair pony to avoid excessive tinkering.
.
.
.
.
1st place (you all know this all ready I'm sure) goes to Nemesis the pony by Wils - don't forget to email me your address so I can post your prize-

There are no prizes for 2nd and 3rd place, or the wooden spoon, but you can have the glowing feeling that I judge you to be good at making ponies resemble tooth characters(except rac of cause, with his crappy Nemesis. I say to you again, you coulda put more effort in- you did with masterpony)

I know there are quite a few Celts (i'm using this as a generic, none tribal way) on this board, obviously Gordon Rennie, I also know Trout is, So is Bou and So is Rac. I'd class myself as a celt as my mother is Scottish, from a clan (Erskine) that can trace its roots way way back to the norman conquest.

I was wondering are there any other celts hidding in the woodwork ?

General / Superman in the Big Meg
23 June, 2004, 01:28:07 AM
Having recently read Superman: Red Son (if you aint got it, go get it) and reading terror , and with the 2000AD DC deal and potential for crossovers in my mind, I was wondering- If Superman was in MC1, what would he do if both the Judges and Total war wanted him as an ally, and for some reason he had to chose one of them (i don't know only total war and the judges have the dimension jump tec to get superman home)

Which side d'ya think he'd go for?
(just to be clear, we're talking about the all american superman, not the commie one- his choice might be slightly different, I think)

I've already posted this on exising thread, but i think i should put it up here to hopefully get a better response
Theres a game out there at the moment whose character is the spitting image of Durham Red- anyone know the name of it- It probably could have remenbered, the amount of times i've seen it in the shops, where it not for the fact that i'm filled with thoughts that they're ripping of Durham Red , every time I see it

Inspired by Larf's weird photos, and what others (including me) have done to them, I have come up with the starting of the this tale, very much indebted to the style of Robert Rankin.

League of amazing engineers and mighty daemon slaughters

By Iain Nixon, very much in the tradition of Robert Rankin

?Hi there!? boomed the mighty booming voice of the mighty Booming voiced H.P Lovecraft mighty executor of creatures from the nether realms. ?Are you worthy of the honour of serving my retinue, whose purpose is the taking of life from all things unholy?!!?

? I don?t know? muttered Stephenson; over awed to have heard the mighty booming voiced of the mighty booming voiced H.P Lovecraft.
?Are you mad!? Kingdom Brunel almost screamed, ?we must say yes ? think of the honour of serving the mighty Booming voiced H.P Lovecraft mighty executor of creatures from the nether realms. We must do as he wishes, even if we are forced to live like dirty filthy Chinamen!?(It must be pointed out here that Brunel was a racist, but then what do you expect from a froggie French man?)
?Shouldn?t we ask Ford Wright?? asked Stephenson.
?Pish!? cried Brunel ? What matter is his opinion, again to you I say Pish! ? What have you to say to that??
?You are indeed a cruel and heartless bastard, you know I needed the toilet! But I should have expected it from a froggie French man like you! ?

So it was that Stephenson, Brunel and Ford Wright, took Stephenson?s jet propelled rocket to the house in the very centre of London to meet the retinue, whose purpose is the taking of life from all things unholy, Lovecraft of the booming voice, Bram Stoker of the most beardy of beards and Mary Shelley, the token female (her job was cutting coupons from The Times to save fifty old pence on East India company tea)
The Great engineers entered the hall to be greeted by the mighty Booming voiced H.P Lovecraft mighty executor of creatures from the nether realms. All the engineers were very much in awe, Stephenson, Brunel, and the token American Ford Wright.
?But,? decried Ford Wright, ?I do not cut coupons!?
?You do now!? said the mighty one, handing Ford Wright a pair of precious scissors, made by wise ancient Indian Mystics in one of the new sweatshops every one was raving about. ?But,? decried Ford Wright again, ?You?re American too!?
?Ahh? replied the mighty one ? But I am far from token.?

Oh how they all laughed (no it wasn?t funny, but all chortled lest they feel Lovecraft?s famous wrath)

?Now? Boomed the voice, famous for its boomingness,  ?It?s time for tea!?

General / bike inconsitencies in Damned Ranger
09 June, 2004, 10:54:42 PM
Mr. Ridgway hasn't been checking back over his art to make sure there are no inconstencies.

1in episode one the judge bikes don't have an eagle symbol
in episode two they do

2in episode three the judge bikes have silver front bumpers, whereas in ep two they where gold.

3The boss or whatever it is is bigger in ep three.

4 The headlights stick out on poles in ep three, wheas they were attatched to the chassis in episode two

General / Anyone a right winger ?
09 June, 2004, 04:14:17 PM
following on from the spate of politicaly charged posts over the last couple of days, all posters seem either lefties (such as me) or apolitical( that is not interested in politics/ doesn't think it works)

Are there actually any right wingers out there?

Serious, i need help, with my grey icon, you can't tell me from a pair of accountant's boxer shorts.
(This is purely conjecture- I have abosolutley zero experience of accountants underpant, be they y-fronts, long johns, or indeed boxers)

I've included one in my script and it would be useful to know for my art droid (my brother) if I had a description or even better a scanned in picture, so it won't be down to guess work.
