They are "different" and not what we have come to expect from Dredd.
You can find reviews of most of the issues in the 'Other reviews' forum below.

The clear exceptions are Cyber-Matt's Dredd year one which is a bargain at £2.49 for the collection
and the Wolk and Farinas City of Courts which is supposed to be great fun. Not read it right me self.

The last issue was great and the opportunity to pick up year one for cheap as chips shouldn't be passed up. Not read city of courts so don't know about that one.

Lots of reasons not to read the IDW series but for the next week price shouldn't be one of them.
