If you like baseball, MLB '09: The Show is pretty much awesome.  If you don't, then I have no ideas. :P

Cheers Bouwel, but I'm in MacLand and there doesn't seem to be any option but an in-browser applet, or a parallel boot into Windows, which may be a bit OTT.   After many fruitless minutes spent discovering this, I also now wish ill fortune on PalTalk's web team.
As a GNU/Linux user, I second this sentiment.

Games / Champions Online
19 August, 2009, 08:46:39 PM
My brother has just started playing the open beta of Champions Online, and I've had a bit of a go myself.  It seems pretty good though I'm told it's a bit buggy in some places (hence it being in beta).

Has anyone else had a look, and do they have any thoughts?

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?

Have finished The Definitive Incredible Hulk and am now reading The Batman Chronicles, Volume 3.  I've really enjoyed the first couple of volumes (and have volumes 4 and 5 lined up to read in the near future), as it's interesting to see how Batman has evolved over the years, and how he was actually quite gritty and dark before the TV series came along.

Currently reading 'Marvel Platinum: The Definitive Incredible Hulk'.
oooh, I bought that a few weeks ago. It's a pretty good selection, but I would have liked to see it extend to Planet Hulk / World War Hulk. I didn't remember those 'Maestro' stories at all, but I now know how to torture the Hulk - just break his neck and then force him to have quadraplegic sex with half a dozen Betty clones. Simple!
I've also borrowed World War Hulk from the library, so that'll be read in the near future.

General / Getting Into Judge Dredd
18 August, 2009, 06:13:49 PM
Hello all,

I've read the first volume of the case files, and would like to get into Judge Dredd more.  I also have a friend who hasn't read any Judge Dredd, but would like to.  What would you recommend reading first?

Welcome to the board / Sup

Hello all,

I've only recently (about 6 weeks ago) got into comics, and am looking for a place to chat about them, and get help finding interesting stuff to read.  I'm too penniless to really collect monthlies (or even weeklies), so am more interested in collected works/'graphic novels'.

I've read Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns, the first volume of Planetary, the first volume of Preacher, the first couple of volumes of the Batman Chronicles, volume 1 of the Judge Dredd case files, Smax, Superman: True Brit, and Batman: Fortunate Son.  I do also have between 20 and 30 single issues (http://comicbookdb.com/collection.php?ID=22202).
