I saw it, I don't know if it's anything like Gutsville as I haven't read it, but it's well worth seeing.

One thing is, watch it with the proper expectations; Only about half the film happens in that strange other-world, the rest is in London, so you may be disappointed if you're expecting the whole thing to look like that. But those scenes do look fantastic, and it's an interesting story.
