Felt this needed its own thread even though its much discussed in the Meg 424 thread.

Now I've listened to it the only problem is I've found the opening Boom Town song is a bit of an ear worm and after hearing it again while listening to the Thrillcast when running this morning I found myself humming it to myself while working!

[THE MERGING]

Right normal gubbins of a quick opening thread to introduce Round 4 and then set things up. Hope to have votes going again Wednesday (actually maybe Thursday) - fingers crossed, lets see.

So THE MERGING has happened. Which I've tried to big up, but is just me removing the rather article set up of 'heroes' and villains which often doesn't make much sense in 2000ad land. So now it's just character vs character.

In this round I've pitted one winner from the 'Hero Division' against one winner from the 'Villain Division' and the draw is done and it's thrown up a few PERFECT faces offs. Genuinely a random draw but there are times I don't think it will look like it!

What I worry a little about (but get over it pretty quickly) is I'm not sure - one exception aside - I see where the villains get their wins from. But we'll see, the votes can surprise.

Anyway as the day(s) go before voting kicks off again as ever I'll drop updates here covering:

1) A full list of the 16 character who made it through to this round
2) A recap of the 'rules'
3) Any other mindless blathering we choose...

The idea had at first seemed like a Khaotic bit of fun. The human's little game had seemed like a fun distraction. And yes 'the hero' had been sneering at the way he spelt khaos but he'd let him have his fun. After all he was 'The shape of things to come" the "Deathbringer" and all that what did it matter. But as the human walked onto the stage up, to the mike, his guitar slung casually across his shoulder, he oozed a cocky swagger that made even the warlock doubt himself. Maybe a Karaoke contest wasn't the best way to resolve this.

Then he started to sing.

And he remembered 'He was the shape of things to come", this bloke was yesterday's news and really pretty bad...

The air was heavy and tense. Harry looked at his hands and flexed his fingers, looking at each in turn. This wasn't The Game and he wondered what the cost would be. He lent his wait against the wall he was using as cover... for some reason it felt insubstantial, as if it provided no cover or protection at all.
