Two of my favourites drawing Strontium Dog this week! Fantastic.

That's fantastic.  If I saw a "thrills of the future" in the prog with THAT picture......I'd be really looking forward to it.

It's a moot point for me really, as the death of Carlos signalled the final blow to me reading the prog (after a protracted decline in my passion), with the Wagner/Ezquerra strontium dog resurgence being my reason for continuing.

I think if Wagner is making a clean break from Strontium Dog too, it would mark the end of that era and it might be interesting, with Wagner and the Ezquerra family blessing, for readers to see a different creative team work on new stories.

I imagine that the end of strontium dog would not make as significant impact on 2000ad as say the end of Dredd would.

Kev Walker, Colin Macneil or Henry Flint would do a killer job of it I bet.

Or how about Phil Winslade, the lawless artwork is incredible.

Carlos is the definitive visualisation of the character, no argument frin me. It's my all time favourite comic character and strip, but there have been other fantastic depictions of him, from Bolland to Colin Macneil, Kev Walker to Chris Weston. You could tell further significant Johnny Alpha tales, with recognition, financial or otherwise, to the mighty Carlos.

I actually think that it could carry on with a different artist, but I wouldn't want to see it continue without John Wagner.

As an end (of sorts) to a series of films I thought it did a solid job. That was a lot to juggle and can not have been easy to put together.

As a "film" in and of itself, not so good.
Quite messy in parts and extremely continuity heavy. The less you know about all of the other films, the less you will get out of it. Many of the scenes will have no context for a significant part of the audience. Another big CGI battle at the end straight after infinity war? Unavoidable I guess but getting a little repetitive.

If I was a big marvel fanboy, though nowhere near as good as infinity war I think I would have been satisfied overall as a conclusion. As "fan-pleasing" goes, this went for the jugular.

It's entirely true that there's Lego and there's lego. That big millennium falcon is most certainly not for kids, its non-functional as a toy, but, then there is the smaller version that is a great solid toy. They have certainly broadened the range to appeal to a wider audience.

This is starting to sound like the script to the Lego movie....

Someone needs to invent a Lego de-duster. So. Much. Dusting.

They're almost impossible to clean eh? I've got a big lego millenium falcon, and it's incredibly fragile.....just impossible to clean (or move). I guess Lego was not a toy that was designed for display! 

.....almost. I need to throw in classic star wars to finish the dust tour....

Oh, and one last one for the 1970's kids.....gathering increasing dust under my bedroom TV are the three original Classic Lego Space ships from circa 1978/79.....from left to right, LL928 Galaxy explorer, LL918 and LL924.



Thanlfully my wife is an infinitely tolerant human being. And that's enough of my tat.....

Sadly, a lot of my G1 stuff is currently stored away, though I have still got a few of the big boys sitting about.like Metroplex, Trypticon and Scorponok.....

My MP10 Prime's are currently gathering dust in a detolf alongside a reissue G1 optimus and some of my 1/6 scale figures....





Sneaking in at the bottom is my 1/6 Indy, one of my (no joke intended) holy grail possessions.

I've got a fairly large collection of G1 transformers and can absolutely recommend the masterpiece figures. The MP10 optimus is pretty much a perfect rendition of a G1 meets Transformers:the movie optimus prime. Must pick up the equivalent Megatron at some point.

The soundwave is a great figure, but yes....quite expensive now.
