It's a bear.

I am suspicious of its qualifications.

I couldn't quite make out the detail in your avatar so I had to look it up.

A tranquilised bear falling out of a tree on to a trampoline...

knowyourmeme

QuoteAccording to the university newspaper CU Independent, the bear was first spotted and reported to University of Colorado campus police shortly before 8 a.m (local time) on April 26th, 2012. After about two hours of occupying the tree, the bear was subsequently tranquilized and retrieved by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department. The photograph of the bear was captured by University of Colorado student Andy Duann who works for the school's newspaper CU Independent.

I was thinking it was some kind of photoshop gag, but it really is what it appears to be?

😆

I'm glad it was take down humanely.

My avatar is a character called 'Tidyup' from the late eighties ecologically aware  (and funny as fuck) Stoppit and Tidyup. Narrated by Terry Wogan.

Cheers

That was proper mental as I recall, especially as it was narrated by a confused sounding Wogan at the time...

It was all the stuff that the teachers and parents told you to do including, the two bees (behave and be good - sounds familiar) and the large red thing - the big bad I SAID NO!

I can't remember if it's on the link I included, but apparently the bear was taken off to live in the mountains.

Tiplodocus

It's a drawing I did of the kind of sauropod I am.
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

Arkwright99

It's a self-coloured portrait of everyone's favourite dimensionally-displaced ex-SAS sergeant, Nick Stone - the Meltdown Man himself. Mostly chosen because it's my favourite 2000AD story.
'Life isn't divided into genres. It's a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel ... with a bit of pornography if you're lucky.' - Alan Moore

Mine says I can't make up my mind as I change it every so often. I really should come up with something clever.

"Kathy Griffin has asked celebrity photographer Tyler Shields to remove the photo from the internet"

Good luck with that one :D

Modesty forbids me from commenting on my glorious avatar. Those in the know know why.....
I'll take a guess it's a portrait of you by King Carlos?  Presumably got published in a Dredd strip...

You are correct good sir;)

An even better guess would be... Prog 1687.  ;)
@jamesfeistdraws

Satanist

Its evil Homer for some reason or another.
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Mine is me in the Engel outfit for my little walk-in role in the Strontium Dog fan-film. (
Just to clarify,
I'm the hat wearing dude in the Alpha-vision scene, until he steps out of the cabin and becomes more handsome.
)  It was a lot of fun, and I got to strap on the gun, and everything.  I took a quick snap in the long dressing room mirror before going on-set so the camera spoils it somewhat. (In the room next door - just to the right of that mirror, the chap playing McNulty was having his lumps applied. )

The Enigmatic Dr X

Mine's a Dalek. From a time when there was no Nu Who. There's a Chrismas variation. The Dalek has a Santa hat.
Lock up your spoons!

Fungus

I change it sometimes.
Currently I'm in a hairy mood, and I snapped this madly-detailed print/painting (?) at the Frank Qujtely exhibition because I like it.

Steven Denton

I don't even look like mine any more.
