Creative Common / Re: Future Shock Submissions 2016/2017

Has anyone sent one by snail since the window re-opened? I sent mine the first week of September and I'm assuming a lot of people either got their submissions in before me or the pile isn't being looked at yet.

I was planning on firing a few off before the window closes again but it's looking like I'll be lucky to get two away at this rate, haha...

Wow that's some list. Out of interest which are you favourites? Any close to the chop? This thread is about nothing if not voyeuristically looking at reading habits of others and their tastes.

I quite enjoy the majority of stuff I read really. Stand out stuff from that list for me are Wolverine, Fight Club 2, Art Ops and Kaptara. Tomorrows is dragging a bit but it's only a mini (though I heard they're making it an ongoing somewhere, I'll be dropping it if that's the case) and some of the Secret Wars tie-ins I've read have been pretty shlocky...

I had a recent change in circumstances (I bought into a comic shop, haha) so I'm reading about a 100 books a month nowadays. Not listed it here either but I read Jupiter's Circle Vol. 2 #1 the other day (out tomorrow) and that was pretty good. Most recent book that really wowed me was Airboy. That's just finished and I highly recommend picking up the trade when it comes out, cracking work :)

I got it after I finished work yesterday :D. Put the disc in and it didn't recognise it as a game, haha... Quick wipe of the disc with a cloth and it was sorted.

I'm about 4 hours in and loving it. Xbox One version came with a free download of Fallout 3, too, so I'll probably play through that again once 4 is complete! :)

I'm at the workshop thing on Sunday but I'm having to skip the Saturday.
Make sure you go and see Bolt at the FQP table, though (And pick up Something Wicked 10 & FutureQuake 27 while you're there!)

Books & Comics / New Comic Shop Online!
12 July, 2015, 02:29:01 PM
Just wanted to let you know that my comic book shop's website baggedandboarded.co.uk is now live and we have some older stuff on their including a few #1 issues and variants, too.

Prices for books are...
$2.99 = £1.90
$3.50 = £2.20
$3.99 = £2.50
$4.99 = £3.15
$5.99 = £3.90

Our prices won't change depending on the current value of the books (if you want to buy for resale, be my guest!), so you could be grabbing yourselves some real bargains (as some people have already done this and completely annihilated the We Stand on Guard #1s we had!).

Postage starts at £1.80 for the first comic ordered, and then an additional 15p for every book after that.
Alternatively, if you are in the North-West of England, you can click and collect from our bricks and mortar (we're based in Macclesfield!)

Also, first 30 orders over £30 will receive free shipping! We've loads of stuff in if you like comics, so go take a look :)

Cheers and enjoy your day!

Hello, good people of the 2000 AD Forum!

Right. I had a story printed in the last issue of Something Wicked (I wrote it, the world famous Darren Stephens of this very forum drew it!) and I thought I'd to take the opportunity to remind you that Something Wicked #10 is still available to buy from the FutureQuake shop.

I've been pushing to sell every single copy of this since it came out in November and we're VERY close to being sold out. There's a handful of copies left and I would really appreciate if you could buy a copy to help it along :) I'm posting this now because I'll be doing the same thing for the new issue of FutureQuake when it comes out, and would like SW10 to be gone by that time so I can focus on the new issue (which I'll have a story in, too.)

If you buy it, these are the stories you'll get:

"Graveyard Shift" (David McCluskey/Sam Weller/Bolt-01)
"Angler" (Richard Pearce/Jack Davies)
"The Fifty Yard Fox" (David McCluskey/Scott Twells/Bolt-01)
"Schrodinger's Hat" (Derek Hamill/Jon Taylor/Bolt-01)
"Victoria" (Lee Robson/Bryan Coyle/Bolt-01)
"A Jagged Piece Of Broken Heart" (Robert Lefebvre/Justin Wood)
"So Your Spouse Has Become A Zombie" (Umar Ditta/Adam Caudill/Bolt-01)
"Copper Trap" (Mike Lynch/Johnny McMonagle/Bolt-01)
"Dinner Date" (Chris Tresson/Darren Stephens/Bolt-01)
"The Last" (Jimmy Furlong/Andrew Hartmann/Bolt-01)

My personal favourite is Richard Pearce and Jack Davies' Angler, but it's a very close call because all of these stories are pretty damn good.

Whilst I'm here, I'd also like to thank Dave and Richmond, all the creative teams involved and everyone who has bought a copy already. I really appreciate the chance to be involved with such talented people and I'm also thankful that no one's called the police about mine and Darren's story yet...

Anyways, buy Something Wicked #10 from the FutureQuake shop:
Futurequake.co.uk/shop.php

And I'll be back pushing FutureQuake 27 soon enough.

Cheers,

Tresson.
