General / Quick Question re. Best Dredd Stories Poll
08 January, 2024, 07:00:02 PM
Quick Background

The past year, I've been writing down a list of all Dredd stories in both the Prig and the Meg. Looking back at this mighty list, I've noticed an increasingly disturbing inconsistency in the number of stories that feature the Lawman in general.

The problem is that there are more Dredd stories in the Prog (20) than in the Meg (10) and I'm wondering whether to merge the topics into one massive topic, to start this coming Tuesday night/Wednesday, which will last until at least early February-ish. At which point, I can create  a topic revealing either the best Dredd story in the Prog/Meg or Best Dredd story that year.

And now, onto the Big Question(s)

What does everyone think of said idea...? Good/bad/undecided?

Please feel free to let me know your thoughts and opinions on this within the next couple of days. If there is enough interest in the idea, I can either start  by the middle of the week or wait until next January to create what I will refer to in this topic from now on, as The Best Dredd Stories (Prog/Meg) Mega-Topic.

I ordered the 45th Anniversary Print Bundle (as you do) and so far, I've gotten them all apart from this one. So the question remains... Has anyone received theirs yet through the post...?

Been waiting more than a week for the issue to turn up, 2284 turned up on the following Tuesday though still no sign of the previous week's Prog. Tried phoning the subscription helpline, only to find no-one answering and  to be told from an automated message that the inbox is full. I've emailed them last week and yet to receive a reply.

What can I do...? Can someone please help me?

Help! / Looking for storage unit for Dredd casefiles
03 November, 2020, 11:31:37 AM
I'm moving into another part of my parent's house soon and I'm looking for a storage unit(s) where I can store my Dredd casefiles only. Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Just wondering if they're canon or not?
#14
It's a Star Wars-esque story where a group of rebels attempt to destroy a Death Star style clone ripoff. What is it?

Sorry about this, but this whole lockdown business has got me thinking about some old (and classic) stories that I've read in the comic throughout the past 15-odd years that I would now like to re-discover

1) Robbie Morrison pre-Nikolai Dante tale that I've read in one of the floppies about an alien race which tricks four other alien races into annihilation.

2) Sprout's story about Hitler and Eva Braun going back in time to repopulate the Earth.

3) A Future Shock(?) story about Humanity making First Contact with a race of alien super-Gods and then using some sort of nerve agent to wipe them all out.

4) Another Future Shock(?) story about a race of humanoid women that kidnap a Human man to mate with him, to which he instantly agrees upon, only for him to discover that they're not who they seem.

1) What was the name and story featuring an ageing Don's 100th Birthday Party and involving a Jimp in some capacity?

2) What was the name of the gangster that helped Danny Falcone out in Maurader? And can anyone tell me what species (Alien / Mutant??) he was please??

Sorry for the lateness, but as many of you should know, today is Day of Dredd, where 2000AD and Rebellion are celebrating the release of Judge Dredd: The Small House with multiple signings across the UK & America of various comic book writers & artists who have worked on Dredd, both past and present, such as Colin MacNeil, Patrick Goddard, TC Eglington, Ian Edginton, Dan Abnett, Andy Diggle, PJ Holden, Anthony Williams, INJ Culbard & many others.

There's also the #DayofDredd hashtag on Twitter for people who want to share their favourite memories of Judge Dredd, as well as displays of the Judge himself in either your local library and comic book shop.

Before you tell me what your favourite Dredd stories/character(s)/moments/whatever, I'll kick-start it off by telling you perps what my favourite Dredd stories, character and moment are.

QuoteLCG Entertainment, a holding company that will be doing business as Telltale Games, today announced that it has purchased the defunct studio's key assets, trademarks, technology, and select intellectual properties with the intent of re-releasing select games from the studio's back catalog and developing new games in some of the company's best-selling brands. The purchase, led by Jamie Ottilie and Brian Waddle, was made possible by a pool of investors and advisors comprised of well-known names in the games industry including Chris Kingsley, Lyle Hall, Tobias Sjögren, Athlon Games (as a shareholder and publishing partner), and several additional partners.

1) A father who only has three sons, with the last one being a mutant. The father only has a head, no body!!

2) Wagner's homage to 9/11, in which a block tower collapses.

I'll be shortly moving into my brother's old bedroom and I'm currently in the process of looking at bookcases to house my ever expanding Graphic Novel collection, especially the Dreddverse stuff (Case Files, Psi Files, Daily Dredd's and One-Off's), specifically from Ikea, though elsewhere is also feasible (within a reasonable price range, of course). Any help from the Hive Mind would be appreciated!!!
