"Max the tech trying to figure out how to explode a lawgiver without killing the actor using it!"

Less CGI = good.

Agreed!  Even some stop frame animation still comes over better than certain CGI effects, and you just can't beat a good old fashioned REAL explosion!

Also, thanks for compiling that section of Wagner q&a's. It was almost as exciting as his commentary of the finished film!

Thats the truth, ... but whatever the result of this film as a fan i'm backing it all the way. This will equal at least two sittings at ur local IMAX and the bluray directors cut! :-)

Solidarity Grudbrother! With our all the way.  I may even invest in a 3D Tv just so I can watch any 3D Blu-Ray release!

I've had some great ones from work colleagues.  One of my faves was when listening to a particularly rousing piece on Classic FM - it might have been Mars from the Planet Suite. One of my colleagues exclaimed 'Here come the baddies!'

Maybe the first couple is sessions were an eye opener, pain wise, but I've had 10+ four hour sessions within eight months, so I'm not noticing the after effects of a session so much.  If there's any problem it's where I've been sitting down for a while and the wound has dried onto the tshirt. That takes some gentle prying away to avoid swears.

The black outline on the right wave was a bugger. During the session the pain was so bad I had to bite down on my wallet. I had a moment where I thought I was going to pass out.  The cash I handed over at the end was drenched in blood, sweat and tears!

Hopefully last session this Thurs - eight hours though! Jeez.  On the plus side, it's all shading left to do, which isn't too painful.

Music / Re: What's everyone listening to...?

There a series of classical music out on iTunes at the mo, called 'Seven Deadly Sins'.  There are 7 'albums' each with 50 tracks on, and each having a sinful theme.  They are fairly well known pieces.  I downloaded the 'Envy' and 'Wrath' ones, and although the versions aren't quite the best you can get, you get a lot of cool music for your money.  The 'Wrath' one is great for the gym!

Also I'm well into Orange Goblin at the mo.  Wish I'd come across these guys before.

I've just noticed your avatar words - Hallowed Be Thy Name!  Nice!  That's actually in my will to be played at my funeral.

To be honest, I sleep on my belly, and as long as I take a painkiller before bed the first couple of nights it's ok.  After that the pain recedes.  What really does me in is the constant itching around a week after a session - it drives me insane!!  Also, my partner gives me grief for leaving multicoloured scabs all over the furniture.

So, how long did your sleeve take?  Was it painful?  I'm guessing the underside was pretty damn sore!

Nice! So many different albums!  My tattooists apprentice is a huge Maiden fan, which was nice.  The very first day they asked me what tunes I wanted on.  'Got any Maiden?' I said.  They looked at me and laughed.  We've been doing nothing but watching and listening to Maiden since!

I've got a pic of me and Adrian Smith kicking about somewhere...

Hmm, the Dredd one would be weird.  It would be like saying 'this is what he looks like under the helmet - me!!'.  :o

I guess it's a case of 'All your page are belong to us' eh?  Shame, but not surprising really.

You're all going to look so foolish when it turns out it's light blue.

You're all going to look so foolish when it turns out the van has no bearing on your enjoyment of the film.

Commands Forces (and anyone else who regularly uses the outfit) can I ask - when you visit conventions and such, do you dress up before you hit the road, or do you get there and ask the convention organisers for somewhere to change and stow your civvies?

I have visions of you hitting the motorway in full uniform!   :)
