Sounds fantastic. I'd certainly be up for a few!

Interested to hear what you think about the sample binder.

This is such a good idea. I'm quite new to collecting and I'm already starting to wonder about long term storage solutions. I wanted to avoid big boxes filling the place up so handy folders like this would be ideal.

I enjoyed the reference to Rush bass player Geddy Lee in Dredd.  :D

This made me unreasonably happy.

Part of the problem is that just because we all know about America doesn't mean other people do. There will no doubt be plenty of people buying the series and thinking that means they have the whole series (and consequently not buying other Dredd books), not realising they are missing one of the best Dredd stories ever.

From my point of view this is exactly right. CF was my introduction to Dredd and I'd been told about this America story and kept waiting for it to appear and it took me a long time to realise I'd gone way past the point I should have seen it.

After now reading and thoroughly enjoying it I think it makes me wonder how many people have missed this great story because they just don't know about it.

Hello again...

OK I haven't been super active so far but I wanted to make a post in one of the review sections but there doesn't appear to be a reply/quote button anywhere for me to actually get involved.

Is this something about me needing an approval of some sort does anyone know?

Also how do I edit my profile? Put a pic up etc...

Many thanks!

I completely missed the J. Jone's butchers van from Dad's Army in Absalom a while back. I only noticed it flicking back through. I did think at the time 'that chap looks an awful lot like Corporal Jones!' I was half expecting 'they don't like it up 'em!' when the knives came out.

Must be a fan.

For me it was the lending of Complete Case Files 1-10 by a friend. He did actually say it might be worth starting around vol 5 but I'm kind of an obsessive completest so I've gone straight vols. 1-24. I get what some people are saying about the earlier stories being for a younger crowd but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the slow development over the years and loved some of that early art.

I think it helps having friends who are already into it so I was made very aware the kind of thing that was coming.

I only just finished reading the Pit and couldn't help thinking that would be a fantastic place to start for someone. Really gives you a feel for Dredd and the world.

Hello all,

After many years of ignorance my friend lent me some Complete Case Files and less than a year later I find that I've run out of Case Files, torn through numerous other 2000AD titles, subscribed to both the Megazine and the prog and so I naturally find myself coming to the forums to top up my fix. My first prog was 1924 just a few months ago. Be gentle with me!

I'm a 25 yo Kentish nerd who has only been thrown into comics fairly recently by the aforementioned friend and I'm very happy to be here!
