Hammerstein's head would be pretty cool (with red LED eyes of course)

Any of the ABC Warriors would be ace, either just as props or wearable helmets would be great.

Film & TV / Ricky Gervais Podcast

If anyone liked his xfm show that he did with Stephen Merchant, there's going to be a weekly podcast on the guardian unlimited website, starting from the beginning of December.

More importantly, Karl Pilkington will still be contributing... hopefully Monkey News might survive the transition.

The rolling news channels have been unbelievable over George Best, talk about vultures... I'm surprised they didn't replace their news tickers with a feed from his ECG.

I read that a reporter from Sky News gave the cut throat gesture and a thumbs up to camera before they switched back to the studio to announce that he'd died.

Not sure how accurate that it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I really liked the colouring on the Dredd tale, it had a very Brendan McCarthy feel to it.

Since no-one else was credited for colouring I guess Henry Flint did his own, I'd definitely like to see more along those lines.

I hope there was someone on the other side of those doors holding them shut.

So they're going to be dumb enough not to question the lack of g-force on take off as well?

Kill him again?

A bit harsh, even for a curse...

That's a nice teaser - good to hear the Krypton theme from the original film as well.

I really want to see that Richard Donner version of Superman II happen as well, it's rumoured that he's working on a special edition DVD of what it would have been before he got booted off the film and replaced with Richard Lester.

Not sure if there's been any concrete information on that recently, but it would be great to see.

It doesn't do much for me - I quite liked the Dennis Waterman sketches, although giant props are an easy laugh.

The funniest sketch IMHO was one with Matt Lucas dressed up as Mr T at the gym, oblivious to who he resembled.

I just wish they'd ease up on the music in the new DW, it seems to be permanently turned up to 11.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Horton hears a Who - both directed by Chuck Jones (who directed a ton of Warner Bros cartoons)

No idea about the stop-motion 80's film though, it doesn't ring any bells.

Cheers

Not too keen on the feet, but it could be worse. To be honest I quite liked the general look of the Earthshock Cybermen.

The big test will be how it looks when it's moving...

What would have been nice if they'd had the budget is to have used effects to get some holes in it to get away from the man in suit.
