All true Squaxx will nail a plastic cup to their head.

By the cup - and trickles of blood down your face - shall we know you...

QuoteAlso- I've got some pretty hefty news that I'll be able to talk about after Hi-Ex.

Oh Bolt, you're SUCH a tease!  Be sure to post the news as soon as you can!

Cheers

WoD

It'll be worth waiting for I'm sure...

Proudhuff

DDT did a job on me

Richmond Clements

Heh... it is quite exciting stuff...

Bolt-01

Gutted that Colin Macneil isn't going tomake it this year, but it does mean I get to keep the Zarjaz cover he did for a bit longer....

Queen Firey-Bou

I'm not sure if I'm exited now, exceeded critical mass, turned into a robo-organiser or what.. 2 days off running around playing firemen this weekend was a nice break though !

keep telling myself that anything we do or don't do now is immaterial, the whole thing has its own momentum thats WAY bigger than we are. Most of the works done now, I just hope we get some time to socialise as I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone !

Here's part of my cunning plan this year.

I'm going to buy one of those "Write on anything" pens that the lovely David Beckham advertises.

I'm going to get Frank Quietly to do a sketch with it onto my DS Lite.

So I shall have a brilliantly unique customised DS.

My only questions isWhat to ask for?

The Dog from WE3?  The Rabbit from WE 3? Superman?

(Failing that, SATCHMO can do me a Griefbringer).
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

satchmo

First time I've been mentioned in the same breath as Frank Quitely  8-)

I'd probably ask him for Batman I reckon, it's a wizard scheme though I'm sure he'll be up for it. He's probably my favourite artist at the minute I'm looking forward to meeting him.
Shame John Higgins can't make it, I was finally going to get Watchmen signed, as Rac is always reminding me to do.

Next time, Satchmo, next time...

Trout

Tips, you could get a Quitely sketch like my one of Paw Green with the piles hanging out of his arse.

But a Batman would be better. (Not hanging out of Paw Green's arse.)

Something else for those attending Hi-Ex this weekend:

Courtesy of ... well, me, there are 160 copies of Zarjaz 05 available free at the front entrance to the event. If you are there- stop by the FQP table and I'll tell you all the tale of printerly woe that lead to this fantastic opportunity to sample the leading 2000ad fanzine in production today. It isn't called Zarjaz for nothing!

stacey

Does "tale of printerly woe" really mean excuse to rant about something?  Just checking!  :D

I wish the zombie and Romance panels didn't crossover as I want to see both!  I just terrified of missing anything me! Maybe there should have been a romantic zombie panel, I'm sure zombies could be romantic, if given the right opportunites.

This post has been brought to you by an excess of caffeine, I thank you.

Richmond Clements

So am I- because I wanted to talk on both!
It's a damned shame that there just are not enough hours in the day to jam everything in!

Steven Sterlacchini

Rich, I hope you don't mind me posting this here?

Dan has created this excellent badge which we'll be using for a FREE draw, to gather email addresses from interested parties, at Hi-Ex!

PLUS, we've also got an new, original sketch of Judge Minty, by Mick McMahon and a canvas of Steve Green's latest CGI Mega City Scape. Both are amazing. These will be entered in the main Hi-Ex! raffle, but as I don't actually have them in my sweaty hands yet I didn't want to make them 'official' quite yet.
