The galaxy's greatest got a shout out on the latest edition of this Radio 4 show-somebody mentioned a story in an early prog featured a story with giant Tardigrades, does this ring a bell for anyone?

Tony Angelino

They're maybe referring to the Biogs from the early Dan Dare strip that Mr Belardinelli drew. I think they had a passing resemblance to tardigrades.

Thanks all. I was going to mention this anyway - it's a special crossover between Radio Four's Film Programme and Inside Science.

It's an interesting show - the visual effects guest, Paul Franklin, worked on Attack The Block, Interstellar, and Civil War - but the Tardigrade talk starts at 47m 20s, the Dan Dare discussion is at 49 m 55s:

Heard that programme by chance. Very interesting and always a thrill to hear 2ad mentioned in the wider world...
