Got this Thrusday, just got round to listening to it, and it really is excellent. If you've been considering the range or were put off by early releases then I urge you to give this one a try.

Johnny, Wulf, McNulty, and the Gronk are perfectly cast, and work very well together. The story is funny, dramaric, and clever with some wonderfull twists and turns. It's very well produced as well.

This particular part of the C.D. range both needs and deserves support, so give it a try. I think you'll find it well worth while. This is possibly the best 2k spin off since, well, ever.

Hello David,

Could you perhaps tell me a little bit more about the plot to engage my interest? I am a big SD fan, but have stayed away from the Big Finish range after hearing the excerpt from the JD sample CD that came with the Megazine. Is the writing significantly better?

TIA,
- John

Okay -

Muspell is a desert world that has started to be torn apart by fire, flood, and other signs of the apocalypse. Out of this time or turmoil a saviour has appeared to bring light to the primitive population. He is Omega and he will help them avoid the time of Devestation. But he warns them of the four horsemen of the apocalypse that will try to take him from them - One is a man with no eyes but vision, another is a man out of time, the thrid devours metal and the fourth has a lumpy head and a chip on his shoulder. They are the Devestators dark warriors - THE STRONTIUM GODS!

Conman Oswald Mega is a wanted man. Johnny and friends are on his trail but the journey will be a perilous one, involving intergalactic flight, time-travel, treks across barren plains, enormous risks, and bloody students.

I heavily recommend this C.D. I really don't think you'll be disappointed. The quality of the script really is first rate. It takes a lot that is good about Stronty but makes allowances for the fact that it's an audio. The dialogue is often very funny, the story well told and the characterisation first rate. And you can always bung it on e-bay if you don't like it, or trade it here.

That did the trick, David! I'll give it a go.

Thanks,
- John

Just got round to listening to this (mainly because I was ill and couldn't think of anything else do without movin).

Yeah, great stuff, great characters and very funny.  Well done to the writer, Simon Pegg and the rest.  Please do more soon.

I think I enjoyed this one more than the last one.

Also, the strontium dog CD's are about the best Big Finish product I've heard.

As Dave said, please buy this and support 'em. Because the SD ones aren't as big a sellers, and that's down to the pupularity of Judge Dredd as opposed to the quality of this CD, believe me.

Lastly, I know Wagner doesn't go in for these things, but I'd love him to write one.
