I usually have no time at all for reality TV. I am however completely hooked on ITV's Bad Lads Army. The basic plot is that the producers have recreated a 1950's national service camp in the middle of Salisbury plain and staffed it with proper hard bastard officers and NCOs. Enter the "contestants"- an assortment of young yobboes, thieves, druggies and "hardmen". The culture shock in store for them has to be seen to be believed!
One cocky skater boy lasted a whole of 6 hours before sprinting for the gates. Previously the sight of him trying to march at the double, arms full of kit, whilst his baggy arsed trousers slowly fell to his ankles had me laughing my head off. If you want a good laugh at the expense of chavs I can thoroughly recommend this programme. Can't wait to see how many make it through the course and whether it changes their attitudes in any way.

One small point Jim: Skaters are not Chavs, and chavs are not skaters. Please don't confuse the two as some of us skater types are very nice people, whereas there's no such thing as a nice chav!

What night is Bad Lads on. One of our local lads is on it and i want to see him get squddie bashed. Also i spent a lot of time at that camp when i was in the TA and i would love to go down memory lane.

Madgirl, Bad Lads is on at 9pm 'til 10 on Thursday, ITV. If you turn over to ITV2 straight after you will also get half an hour of "uncut" highlights. Think it's repeated some time Sunday too. Happy viewing!
