That's not the point when it comes to character. Dredd himself as a geuine character may just eventually have had enough -rejuved or not- and go out like an old pro like Minty, the wild bunch etc.

All these ideas of bodyswaps and brain transplants are quite pat and boring -he could have done all that already instead of growing old in the first place- little to do how people really age mentally.

For him to just do a bodyswap would just be a cop out, not Dredd's style.

I'm hoping he does eventually die and with a satisfying conclusion but that does not have to happen for at least another 10-15 years. 2000ad may not even be around in 10 years.

Dredd's only around 60, he could at least go to 75 even 80 since it's the future -better health care and future longevity et al.

One of the attractive things about the strip is that we know he has to die eventually. If we didn't have the aging angle we would not have all the great character stories we have had from the eighties 'till now.

Reminds me of a scene in one of the Dune books where an O.A.P. future character kicks the fuck out of a 30 year old who has been reborn from the past.

I'm left-handed & don't see the logic of that statement, what has a "shoulder" pad got to do with your hands?

Why do they always try to copy the movie version of the suit?

Hard to say, the story is being told in flashback so I'm sure half of it will take place in Dredd's present -it involves a current investigation on Dredd's behalf, I think

This story, as far as I know, is being totally disregarded for Origins, it was not originally written to tie in with Dredd's history anyway but was retrofitted for the meg after it was rejected for inclusion in the comic "Toxic".

Will Origins go back as far as before the Atomic wars when Bob Booth was president?

Raimi has said he hates the Venom character but is obviously setting it up for whoever makes the next film.

We may not see venom at all but are only introduced to the characters & black goo for venom in spidey 4. The suit will only be used as a story device for Parker to experience the darker side.

This film is more about Sandman & Goblin 2
