I got the Skizz graphic novel the other day and I thought I'd say something about it, because it ROCKED! I mean, come on, anything with a crazy guy and a space wallabie gets my five stars, and possibly the other three as well.
--Plus, can anyone give a few words about portrait of a mutant before I buy it?
A Few Words About Portrait Of A Mutant Before Shakara Buys It By David X Brunt Aged 25 And Three Quarters.
This book is Very Good. It has Johnny Alphas life story and we meet Middenface McNulty and Evans the Fist and the Torso from Newcastle. Johnny was a rebel in his youth and fought the bosses. But the Boss Boss was his Dad! It is sad that we don't see much of Wulf and the Gronk but the drawings are good and the story is thrilling.
There is also a funny story about Hitler, a bad man from the War. It is funny.
This book is very good indeed. I would give it 9 out of 10.
Now to my next question, how do you build decent bear traps? For my sqaxx dek friendo is trying to get it before me-- But we both won't have the money until Tuesday, so I may have to nip one of his legs off

You ring the comic shop on Monday and ask them to put it on one side for you. A guaranteed sale is usually enough for shops to reserve books for a day.
It's a great story by the way. Really good stuff. A lot cleverer than a story aimed at kids so long ago should e, if that makes sense. It's proof positive that Wagner and Grant never talked down to their audience. They make some interesting political and social comments alongside telling a Ripping Yarn. And Mr. Carlos adds so much to the script in the art work. Strontium Dog is possibly where he produced his best art. Great stuff. Love this book to bits.
